Bronx - address substitution (reconstruction house of correction) The graduation thesis deals with an architectural study of a new utilization of the top security prison building and its sorrounding in „the Bronx“ of Brno. The prison with the chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin from the 18th century is a significant building of about one city block large. The project includes the modification of the original prison building and its extension, the removal of the unsuitable parts of the building and building of new objects connected to the prison and public places. The group of buildings has been designed with the regard to the alternative culture and forms of living places, which would lead to healing of the Roman ghetto. New arrangement and size of objects form two new squares. It reveals the prison in its original shape at the same time. On the south site there is a tall building designed as a dominating feature of the area.

Social work student's view on the issue of homelessness

This thesis deals with issue of homelessness and homeless people. My goal is to describe students' opinions and attitudes towards homelessness and homeless people. I questioned this themas at the beginning of students' proffesional experience and also after attending practice. Students completed this practice in special facilities that help homeless people. They study discipline of social work on higher professional school or high school. They have not met homeless people during their practise so far, even though it can be assume that they have some knowledge about this issue, that is why I focused directly on students' changes of attitudes. I used two types of questionnaires. The results of this investigation are presented in the practical part, which begins with chapter number five. I found out that most of the students changed their opinnions and attitudes during my investigation. Autor: Zuzana Janoušková Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Care of Patient after arthroscopic surgery of shoulder joint and SLAP suture. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to process patient case histories. Patient was a man 39 years old with SLAP lesion type 2 after arthroscopic surgery a SLAP suture. General part: Focus on anatomy and kinesiology of the shoulder girdle, with emphasis on caput longum biceps brachii and SLAP lesions. Given are surgery methods, examination methods and recommended postoperative therapy, etiology, incidence, return to the sport. Special part: This part is a case report of a patient after arthroscopy operation and SLAP suture, which was developed on the basis of therapeutic units, which were conducted in Kladno District Hospital from 7. 1. 2013 to 1. 2. 2013. Proposal and model of the detailed point network of positional point field by using total station and GPS.

This thesis was elaborated on the topic: Proposal and model of the detailed point network of positional point field by using total station and GPS. The detailed point network of positional point field was construct for following etailed measure as a part of complex land adaptation in cadastral area Záblatí u Prachatic and in cadastral area Horní Záblatí in the region of Prachatice. The aim was reconnaissance of the interest locality and existing point field, propose and complete existing network to cover interest locality in the desiderative density. Following the geodetic reading and map bases the reconnaissance of the ground control was done. The point network was completed by 15 detailed measuring points using the GPS method and the method of polygonal traverse and polar method. There was used the electronic total station Leica TC407 for polar method and for polygonal traverse, for GPS was used apparatus Leica GPS system 300 for the measuring in terrain.

Práce se zabývá strategií trvale udržitelného rozvoje a jejím prosazováním v mezinárodních vztazích. Identifikuje politické, ekonomické, kulturní a institucionální bariéry prosazování. Závěrečná část je věnována institucionálnímu zastřešení trvale udržitelného rozvoje v rámci systému OSN. Pojednává o jeho nedostatcích a možnostech posílení na příkladu Komise pro trvale udržitelný rozvoj a Programu OSN pro životní prostředí.

Socio-political Cleavages and Democracy in Subsaharan Africa

Doktorská práce si klade za širší úkol prozkoumat jednu z rovin kulturního střetu mezi tradiční africkou kulturou a západní kulturou a jejími globalizačními vlivy, které se v subsaharské Africe začaly projevovat s nástupem kolonialismu, a jejichž intenzita dále akcelerovala v postkoloniálním období. Pozornost je věnována kulturnímu subsystému, který představuje regulační funkce společnosti, konkrétně politice, která je však úzce, a místy neoddělitelně, spojena s ekonomikou. Toto velmi široké téma je dále zúženo tím, že předmětem zájmu, a současně hlavním cílem je zkoumání možností demokratického řešení konfliktů plynoucích ze současných sociopolitických rozporů v subsaharské Africe, tedy především, zda jsou myšlenky demokracie v Africe uskutečnitelné, a pokud ano, tak za jakých podmínek.
