Treatment Programs aimed at Women Serving a Unconditional Sentence of Imprisonment in Czech Republic and Abroad Abstract The diploma thesis deals with the topic of treatment programs for women in prison. The aim of the work was to approach the issue of current treatment programs in the Opava Prison. In the theoretical part of the diploma thesis is described the female prison population and its specifics as well as selected foreign regulations and basic principles contained in international documents focused on this area, the definition and division of treatment programs, a description of the current women's prisons in the territory of the Czech Republic and the characteristics of the current standardized treatment programs in women's prisons. The diploma thesis also focuses on some selected shortcomings of treatment programs, in the last part of the theoretical work are mentioned some modern prison systems applied to women in general and to mothers in prisons. In the practical part of the work, the strategy of qualitative research, the technique of questioning and the semi-structured interview technique were chosen to determine the objectives of the work. The diploma thesis deals with the topic of employment of people after serving a prison sentence in social enterprises. The theoretical part is focused on social entrepreneurship in general, on people after serving a sentence with an emphasis on their situation in the labor market, and on social entrepreneurship with this target group from the perspective of foreign and Czech experience. The empirical part analyzes the approach of social enterprises in the Czech Republic to the employment of people after serving a prison sentence. House arrest and its execution

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of legal regulation of house arrest, especially its execution. The aim of the research of my bachelor thesis is to find out how important the institute of preliminary investigation is in the imposition of a house arrest sentence. Specifically, it is focused on the possibilities of using house arrest and electronic monitoring, conditions of sentencing, execution of a sentence and its associated regulation, postponement, interruption, change and waiver, on various forms of house arrest control and current problems in practice. These are the problems and disadvantages associated with the application of house arrest and an electronic monitoring system. I'am also describing the advantages of using a house arrest sentence and an electronic monitoring system. All this is evaluated from the perspective of the probation officer, in the context of legislation, methodological standards of the Probation and Mediation Service, criminological research findings and important international documents in this area.
Eutanasia: legal, medical and ethical issues

I chose the topic Euthanasia: legal, medical and ethical issues due to personal interest in these issues and due to interest in the dying. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the main points associated with euthanasia, particularly concerning the legal point of view but also ccncerning medicine and ethics. The first chapter contains Basic terminology, where I present to the reader basic principles and categories of euthanasia from a general and certain authors' point of view. In the second chapter I present to the reader the Historical context of euthanasia, where I describe the development from the Antique era up to the present. This chapter deals with evolvement of medicine and ethics in relation to euthanasia and summarizes the main conceptions throughout history, including the current ones. In the last part of this chapter I present the conception of autonomy as related to the following chapter, which deals with the legal point of view on euthanasia.
The role of social worker in resocializatin of adult offenders of property crime serving a prison sentence

(anglicky): In my thesis, I focus on the role of social workers in prisons and their effect on social rehabilitation of offenders who have committed a property crime. Imprisonment is based on the principle of restorative justice beyond the protection of society to act as an educational element directly to the offender. Individuals who leave prison, are at risk of social exclusion and their possibility of integration into society is due to stigmatization, unstable social environment, housing, employment and other circumstances endangered. The aim of this bachelor thesis is mapping the activities of social workers with adult men in prison. The social worker is a part of the overall examination of the situation of prisoners, social workers are also involved in the processing of a rehabilitation program, which has an impact on an individual's life after release and on recidivism. Social worker cooperate with families, verifies information, etc. The thesis explores the practice of social workers in our country and considering to the practice I suggest changes to improve practice.
How are the interactions between a father and his child altered by the imprisonment of the father

(in English): Imprisonment does not have a direct impact just on the person who committed the crime it also affects the life of the people close them, especially if the perpetrator is also the parent. This work is aimed to determine how imprisonment affects the interaction between children and incarcerated parents, their fathers. Changes in interaction are explored in contact, mutual communication, parenting roles and relationship between the child and the imprisoned parent. The research, which brings the data obtained using questionnaires and interviews with persons in custody, is based on information provided primarily by foreign experts.
The current questions of the juvenile justice system with a special focus on the educational measures

This thesis is aimed at the current issues of juvenile justice system, especially the educational measures. The center of attention is the youths responsibility for their illegal acts, alternative process and measures, which are set up against the delinquents. Statistics show how the criminality of young people appears at present and what sanctions are taken against them. The main focus is aimed at the educational measures, which are specific to the type of sanctions imposed on young delinquents. The practical part shows the description of sample cases, where educational measures were imposed on young people. In conclusion is a recommendation and some incentives how to improve the current situation in juvenile justice system.
Usage of alternative punishments - practice of home detention and community servis in the jurisdiction of Česká Lípa

(in English): The main goal of the theoretical part is explaining the principles relating to alternative sanctions, focusing on community service and home detention. The content bachelor thesis is methodical process of the Probation and Mediation Service in the preparation and execution of a sentence of home detention and community service. Thesis is eventually focused on the activities of the Centre in the Czech Lipa, using statistical data for a specified period.
Comparison of specialist's cooperation during divorces in selected European countries

Due to the trend of still high rate of divorce cooperation between professionals offers possible tools which can lead to a more efficient and accelerated divorce process. This diploma thesis deals with the cooperation of interested professionals in divorce proceedings in selected European countries (German Cochem practise, practice from the United Kingdom and Slovakia). The theoretical part characterizes the current situation of the family, the role of professionals in our country and deals with the effects of divorce on children. The empirical part describes using qualitative research, method of documentary analysis and based on established criteria comparison of guardianship practices in the mentioned countries. This diploma thesis brings a view of the cooperation of interested professionals from abroad and points out the ways of cooperation, which can bring positive changes to the process of guardianship, which will lead to a de-sparring of the dispute. This will falicitate traumatized children, their parents and busy professionals.
First experiences of Act No. 45/2013 about crime victims in practice of assistance providers

(in English): The aim of the work was to describe the experience of the providers of assistance to victims of crime with the use of the law in their practice. The experience and the views of the providers were obtained in the form of a questionnaire survey. As a source of data for addressing service has been utilized to view all registered entities providing their services to the victims of the crimes on the web site of the Ministry of justice. The work was focused on the practical application of selected provisions of act no. 45/2013 Coll. and from its results revealed that providers in your practice are finding that the provisions relating to particularly vulnerable victims, are defined too narrowly. Also the communication between the provider and the police is not yet ideally set.
