The use of graduates of the Physical Education and Sport study program at Charles University Faculty of Physical Education and Sport on the labor market

This dissertation thesis deals with the use of full-time Masters' graduates of the Physical Education and Sport study program at Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University on the labor market. In the theoretical part a review of the current state of knowledge about the use of graduates on the labor market was completed, especially university graduates. On the basis of this review the construct of the use of Charles University Faculty of Physical Education and Sport graduate was operationalized and the main tool of the survey, the electronic questionnaire, was compiled. The basic set of the survey was formed by the graduates of the full-time Masters' studies program between the years 2010 and 2015 in the fields of Secondary School Teaching (double-subject), Physical Education and Sport (single-subject), Military Physical Education and Sports Management. 346 responses from 671 questionnaires were obtained (52% return rate). In the result part collected data was first analyzed by the chi-square test on the basis of 3 identification variables (gender of the respondents, field of study and year of graduation) and subsequently individual results of the survey were presented. The economics of professional football clubs and issues related to their valuations

Proper valuation of professional football clubs requires understanding and taking into account specific features of sports. Once we are familiar with the relevant issues and have reliable input information, we can determine appropriate valuation techniques, which shall respect purpose of the valuation alongside with any related specific features. Subsequent application of the valuation techniques determines the value of the club. Comparing results of various methods within one club, as well as between the clubs, may test reliability of the values. With regard to their status and importance, Manchester United FC and Arsenal FC are the clubs chosen for the analysis and valuation performed in this dissertation thesis. The workflow and logic above facilitates performing reliable valuations of selected teams, as well as drawing the guidelines and recommendations for the valuation of professional football clubs with regards to specifics in their financing and economic functioning.

Analysis of trends in investment banking in the period 2006 - 2010

The thesis focuses on analysis of trends in investment banking in the period 2006 -- 2010. The main trends are securitization, consolidation of investment banking and new regulation. The thesis analyses the trends in detail and explains interconnections and impact on the whole investment banking industry. The development is illustrated on a few particular investment banks and bank holding companies in Europe and the United States of America. The last part presents new regulations and proposed changes in the investment banking industry.

Comparison of the Exchange Rate Systems in Theory and According to Experience

V první části bakalářské práce jsou popsány jednotlivé systémy měnových kurzů, přičemž k některým jsou pro ilustraci doplněny krátké případové studie zemí uplatňující daný kurzový režim. V druhém oddílu je pak srovnáváno jaký mají jednotlivé systémy měnových kurzů vliv na makroekonomické ukazatele, především inflaci a hospodářský růst. Kromě shrnutí významných již provedených výzkumů je součástí práce i porovnání jednotlivých zemí z případových studií a krátké zhodnocení a zdůvodnění. V poslední části jsou k názornosti sledovaných ukazatelů využity magické čtyřúhelníky.

Sportovní přenosová práva jsou dnes jedním z klíčových zdrojů financí profesionálního sportu, z čehož vychází potřeba identifikace faktorů, které mají vliv na jejich cenu. Analyzovat celé sportovní prostředí by nebylo z důvodu příliš širokého teoretického záběru možné. Práce se proto zabývá pouze takovými případy, které reprezentují centralizovaný prodej televizních práv v prostředí domácí fotbalové ligové soutěže.
