Polyaromatic hydrocarbons in the Ostrava region
Hloušek, Jan ; Datel, Josef (advisor) ; Vlk, Květoslav (referee)
The polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons cause a big safety risk and encumbrance for natural ecosystems and exposed human population because of their physical and chemical properties and the high - level toxicity. One of the important mechanisms of their transport is spreading by the rivers together with the surface water. The region of Ostrava with environs belongs to the most affected areas polluted by PAH's in Czech Republic. Despite of the decline of industry works and acceptance of more effective preventive measures and procedures of recovery, the concentrations of PAH's doesn't decrease in water in the region. It's particularly a consequence of long-term polluting of the water and atmosphere which caused the contamination of river sediments, especially near of ex-industry centers. These objects of contaminated sediments become a permanent resource of pollution for the whole area. The current source, which primary pollutes atmosphere, has a considerable part on the contamination on environment. The pollution by PAH's extensively restricts chance to use surface water and groundwater in many areas. That's the reason why it's necessary to make a steps for effective reducing pollution of surface catchment area by contaminants from old load and current sources to restrict their breakthrough into...
Application of the tax assignation in case of financing sport of the Czech republic in 2010-2015
Hloušek, Jan ; Pekárek, Štěpán (advisor) ; Maule, Petr (referee)
The bachelor thesis Use of the purposeful determination of taxes on the case of financing the sport of the Czech Republic in the period 2010 to 2015 focuses on the issue of financing of sport and concrete options for the diversification of financing in the form of tax assignments. In the theoretical part is outlined how the financing of sport and the tax system of the Czech Republic is set. The topic of tax assignments including a concrete bill for the Czech legislation, which was created for the purposes of this work is discussed in more detail here. In the second part the impacts of tax assignments are quantified in the form of feedback analysis for selected years 2010 to 2015. This part assumes that tax assignments would bring additional funding to Czech sport, which is subsequently discussed in a discussion part with possible consequences and impacts in a concrete implementation.

Hloušek, Jan ; Janský, Petr (advisor) ; Serdarevič, Goran (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Social Sciences Taxation in Financial Sector Jan Hloušek Abstract The purpose of this thesis is to review taxation in financial sector, discuss its objectives and compare its past and most recent implementations. Financial Activities Taxes, Financial Transaction Taxes, and Financial Stability Contribution are compared from theoretical point of view. Trends in profitability, volumes of derivatives, and equity ratios are presented for two groups in both Italy and France - banks that are subject to new Financial Transaction Taxes and those that are not. Using panel data on financial institutions, positive impact of FTT introduction on derivative volumes is found in France, and no significant effect is found in Italy.

Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP's) in the Jizera Catchment Area
Hloušek, Jan ; Datel, Josef (advisor) ; Tušil, Petr (referee)
Persistent organic pollutants causes a big safety risc for natural ecosystems and exposed human population because of their physical and chemical properties and the high - leve toxicity. One of the important mechanisms of their transport is spreading by the rivers and all the surface waters. An easy sorption on the organic material permits just a slow mobility of contamination, which is limited by the volume of organic compound in soils and sediments. But the body of contaminated sediments can became a long - life pollution source for the surroundings. On the Jizera catchment area is an important water accumulation, which serves as the used or potentional water sources with the high quality, endangered by the POP's contamination . The most vulnerable water source is the catching object Káraný. The surface water catched by the waterworks on the lower part of the catchment area is with serious quantity polluted by the POP's, which are concentrated the rivers from all the country into the lower catchment. Because of the industry developement the content of the POP's in the catchment area's water doesn't decreace in spite of safety arrangements. So it is necessary make the steps to effective decreasing the dotation of area by the contaminants and to the restriction of their infiltration into the...

Economic cohesion and regional differentiation of the EU
Hlousek, Jan ; Abrhám, Josef (advisor) ; Tunkrová, Věra (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the territorial differentiation of the European Union and selected member countries. In this context I observe the differences in major socio-economic indicators (in GDP per capita and employment rates) across the European Union and in more detail in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Furthermore, I focus on explaining the development and the current setting of EU regional policy at EU level and the CR. The thesis is structured into three main chapters. The first chapter focuses on assessing the economic, social and regional differentiation of the Member States and EU regions. The second chapter is devoted to the analysis of regional structure and differentiation of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The final chapter covers the development and current form of regional and structural policy of the European Union.
