Identification and Development of Key Competencies of High Potential Employees as the Tool of Talent Management

The identification and development of high potential employees is part of talent management, which is currently one of the priorities of strategic human resources management. According to relevant surveys, high potential employees account for less than five percent of the total number of employees. First, the thesis deals with talent management, its theoretical background and historical development. Subsequently, from the point of view of HR managers, it focuses on the issue of highly potential employees in order to find out which competencies are key to this group of employees. The partial objective is to clarify the extent to which selected companies in the Czech Republic agree or differ in terms of high potential employees. A qualitative survey is used to examine both objectives, consisting of a semi-structured interview with company managers and point scale. The aim of the thesis is to describe the set of key competencies of high potential employees and to distinguish them from the set of competencies of other employees.
The Generation Y View on Corporate Social Responsibility as a Part of Employer Branding

Building an attractive workplace image, companies can attract and retain qualified employees. According to several research papers, some workers, especially young generation, prefer organizations with a prestigious employer brand and a positive social impact. The master thesis is focused on corporate social responsibility (CSR) as part of employer branding and its application within a human resource management system. The thesis is based on the assumption that the rising generation of workers considers socially responsible behaviour of companies as one of the factors of employer's attractiveness. The aim of the thesis is to analyze attitudes and preferences of selected representatives of generation Y regarding corporate social responsibility. The quantitative analysis is focused on the view on CSR by Charles University students of Faculty of Arts and employs an online questionnaire for data collection. Employee Education in the Process of Adaptation

5 ABSTRACT The presented thesis, which is complemented with a case study, deals with education of employees in the process of adaptation. Attention is paid to the theoretical anchoring of this issue by specialised literature. On the theoretical level, the thesis outlines adaptation and adaptation process, employee training as well as education of employees who are in the adaptation process. This theme is deliberately shown in connections and actual context through introduction of the system of education of employees in the adaptation process as it is set in a selected company. It discusses the way of identification of educational needs, and the planning, implementation as well as subsequent evaluation of the education. The aim of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive view of education of employees in the process of adaptation, and to find out within empirical research how the system of education of employees in adaptation process is set in a specific selected company. Competencies of a lecturer using activation methods in adult education

This Bachelor's thesis focuses on the definition of lecturers' competences in adult education that uses a participative style of teaching. The current state of professionalization of lecturers in the Czech Republic will be explored alongside the definition of lecturer using activation methods in adult education and lecturer's competences within this thesis. The basic description of the commonly used activation teaching methods and the high teaching requirements of these methods will also be illustrated. Finally, this thesis introduces the competence model using the activation methods in adult education with a possible schema of the model usage in the real world. Reflection of the Most Important Leadership Theories in Academic Periodics in the Years 1990-2014

This bachelor thesis focuses on content analysis of articles of academic journals, that are concerned with Leadership, in period between years 1990 to 2014. The aim is to create a summary of the most cited Leadership theories in academic journals in period between years 1990 to 2014, based on the content analysis. First, Leadership is defined and the evolution of understanding of Leadership is explained, then the most important Leadership theories that came to an existence before the year 1990 are introduced. Next, the procedure and methodology of the content analysis is described and the results are presented, which are subsequently being reflected upon. The most important Leadership theories in period between years 1990 to 2014 are finally introduced independently. Analysis of HR Processes and HR Position in Czech Ice Hockey Extraleague Clubs

5 ABSTRACT There is fourteen ice-hockey clubs in the highest Czech professional ice-hockey league (called "Tipsport Extraliga"), but only two of them have a position of personalist in their organizational structure. This dissertation is aimed on the issue of HR operations administrated in terms of Czech professional sport organizations. On the bases of interviews with employees chosen from two Czech ice-hockey clubs I compare the execution of HR activities on the two clubs there is a special position for HR specialist, in the second one there is a leader or sport manager, who is executing the HR activities. There is also the analysis of HC Sparta Praha HR specialist position in the dissertation. In the special chapter there is the specification of HR processes executed in Czech ice-hockey clubs including processes aplicated in the past. Possibilities of using mentoring in education and development emplyees in an organization

This bachelor's thesis provides insight into the possibilities of mentoring in the education and development of employees in an organization, and it specifies the situations in which the use of mentoring can be defined as effective. The thesis includes identification of these possibilities on the basis of an analysis of the education and development of the employees in an organization. First, the main concepts are defined, objectives, forms, and methods of education and development in an organization are specified, and the possibilities of education and development of the employees in an organisation are specified in more details. Another source of information for identification of the possibilities of using mentoring is the definition of mentoring, its essential principles and characteristics, stages, and forms used in an organization. Benefits and limits of mentoring are also defined. On this basis, the possibilities of education and development of the employees in an organization for whom mentoring is a suitable and effective method are defined. Particularities and tools of counseling process in further professional education

Following bachelor's thesis is devoted to methodological aspects of the career counseling. It deals with the terminological discussion of counseling-related concepts and its areas of application in the context of adult education. The thesis is focused on a counseling process, structure, tools and specifics in career counseling. It provides an analysis of wide range of counseling tools from basic counseling techniques to specific digital and complex means. Practical implementation of the tools is illustrated with a case study within which two counseling programs for the long-term unemployed are compared. Opportuinities to Application of Evaluation in Outdoor-teambuilding Educational Activities

This thesis is primarily focused on the field of evaluation of organizational training and its possible application on outdoor-teambuilding training activities. The goal of the paper is to critically analyze the current state of knowledge of training evaluation and, based on the discovered facts, to synthetize evaluation model, which could be used for evaluating outdoor- teambuilding programs. Firstly, the basic concepts of outdoor-training, teambuilding and evaluation are introduced. In the following chapters, there is the presentation and comparison of chosen evaluation models, which are used in the field of training. Above mentioned part provides a theoretical base for the thesis and based on this, there is a new model introduced, which is modified specifically for outdoor-teambuilding evaluation. In the conclusion, there are also recommendations for further studies and researches.
