Project Risk Management
Soukupová, Eliška ; Fejfar, Jiří (advisor) ; Bohumír, Bohumír (referee)
The thesis deals with project management with a closer focus on risk management in the selected company. First it was necessary to establish cooperation with the company. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. First I describe the approaches of existing methodologies using common professional literature in the theoretical part. Then in the practical part I start with characterizing the company. I study current state of project management that I determine on the basis of internal corporate methodology, my own observation, and interviews with the Head of Strategic Projects Unit. I also study the status of project risk management that I determine on the basis of my own observation, structured collection of information, and follow-up interviews with employees. After that I design Project Risk Maturity model in the company. At the end of my work I evaluate existing information and propose improvements: risk management methodology for the company.
Managerial Competencies in Project Management
Pánková, Lucie ; Fejfar, Jiří (advisor) ; Vítězslav, Vítězslav (referee)
In project management, the role of the person in charge the project manager is absolutely crucial. Depending on the requirements of the company, all kinds of demands can be placed on them. The first part of this dissertation is focused on important milestones in the development of project management, leading to the concept of the project manager itself. Drawing on the relevant literature, there is an emphasis on the basic definition of his/her role and how it is currently perceived. The role is theoretically defined in a competence model, which is discussed in the practical part of the dissertation. The second part deals with a questionnaire, which is evaluated using STATISTICA12 software. According to outputs from the quantitative method of research, there are then interviews with people who work in the field of project management - which provide additional background and explanation to the results of the research. In the conlusion of thesis is proposed a own competency model, which is based on an analysis of theoretical background and the results of the applied methods and which is also inspired by IPMA Competence Baseline 3.
Route truck transport planning for company Blažek a synové s.r.o.
Němcová, Michaela ; Fejfar, Jiří (advisor) ; Kvasnička, Roman (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the planning of routes for truck transport company Blažek a synové. The aim is through appropriate economic and mathematical methods to find a suitable route, while that would be a minimal cost. The literature review describes the basic terms on this topic. Primarily i tis focused on logistics and road car transport. There are also so described the methods by which it is possible to solve this problem. Practical work is divided into two parts. First, it is assumed that the circuit will take a larger car that can carry all at once. Therefore, in this case, Vogel's approximation method is used and the best route for the company is chosen. In the second part, on the contrary, it is assumed that smaller cars must be taken so the route is divided into circuits. In this case Mayer's method is used, which divides the route into three areas. Again, the best route is selected. In the end of this work there is evaluation. Assessing the financial terms and there is also a comparison of actual mileage of the routes used and calculated routes chosen methods. The comparison shows that the larger cars company save more money and also driving less kilometers.
Optimization of Routes for Public Transport
Neumarová, Andrea ; Kučera, Petr (advisor) ; Fejfar, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor thesis, Optimization of Routes for Travel Agencies, deals mainly with traveling agency problem and its optimization for a specific travel agency. For the purposes of this research, the author has chosen routes from Václav Haver International Airport to several hotels from Prag area - Andel's Hotel Prague, Art Deco Imperial Hotel, EA Hotel Jasmín, Hotel Fortuna Rhea, InterContinental Prague, Orea Hotel Pyramida Praha, Panorama hotel Prague. The main object is to examine which of the selected tours are economically optimized (by costs). The theoretical chapter is focused to the distribution tasks as well as methods, whose application leads to the optimization of the routes. The practical chapter includes the modificated nearest neighbor method, and the Vogel approximation method. To illustrate the application of heuristic methods the calculation is carried out by savings method, too. In conclusion, the obtained results are evaluated and suggestions made for a more economic solutions of the routes examined
Project management - implementation of changes in data warehouse in a selected company
Hanilec, Jakub ; Fejfar, Jiří (advisor) ; Petr, Petr (referee)
The thesis is focused on project management, specifically on the design of the process solution of project - The implementation of changes in a data warehouse in a selected company. The first is defined theoretical background needed to design the solution. The first part of the solution starts with a brief introduction of chosen company and its data warehouse department. This introduction includes basic information about data warehouse itself. Next are defined conditions that have an effect to the form of the project management process. Those conditions are the criteria, form and environment of release management and change requests. The solution design is based on those criteria and it using elements of PRINCE2 methodology. The organization structure of project is built first. The life cycle of project follows with its key milestones. The project management process is divided into phases according to the project lifecycle. The inputs, outputs, process activities diagrams and responsibility matrix are defined for each phase. The result of the solution is evaluated and compared against the PRINCE2 methodology from which it came from.
Application of multiple criteria decision-making methods in server choice
Černý, Martin ; Kvasnička, Roman (advisor) ; Fejfar, Jiří (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with application methods of multiple-criteria decision making in choosing suitable server for hosting company. Hosting company is preparing new technical solution in according hosting services for their customers. Because of this reason, is necessarily to choose suitable server configuration, which will best fulfill demands of the company owners. First part consist of theoretical part, in which are described the essential principals, aspects and methods, which are used in multi-criteria decision making. Methods and actions, which are described in this part of bachelor thesis are further applied on particular issue choosing the best server in the practical part. The practical part contains an assessing of criteria for choosing the best server, setting out an importance between these criteria by using Saatys matrix and furhermore by using the TOPSIS method choosing the best alternative.

Aplikace moderních metod klasifikace zvukových dat
Fejfar, Jiří
This work describes contemporary methods for sound data classification and their application on sound recordings. This work deals with the selection of sound signal characteristics appropriate for concrete classification criteria followed by the exploration of proper types of artificial neural networks for this task. Different topologies and learnings algorithms of chosen neural networks are proposed and their performance in this classification is compared. Results compared are discussed and the best solution for sound data classificaton based on the content of recordings is chosen. This work also includes the chosen algorithms implementation into the software solution of my own.
