This thesis deals with operation principles of lithium-ion batteries, its degradation principles, capacity fade, materials used, formats, main characteristics, development, uses and mid to high temperature behaviour. The thesis aims to study aging characteristics of commercially available lithium-ion batteries. In the practical part of the thesis, the key parameters of selected types of commercially available lithium-ion batteries were measured under normal temperature conditions. The measurement was repeated at an elevated temperature. Results were analysed and effects of different temperatures on the selected characteristics were concluded both verbally and graphically. A conclusion evaluates short-term and long-term impacts of ambient temperature on rate capability, ageing, capacity fade and longevity.
Interactions between WLAN networks
Doleželová, Eva ; Zeman, Kryštof (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the possible interferences caused by the parallel running WLAN networks. It explains the history and subsequent development of wireless technologies and then focuses on current WLAN networks. It describes the problem of interference in WLAN networks and parameters that contribute to mutual interference. Practical part of this thesis consists of two laboratory exercises. The first task is implemented in the Riverbed program, in which a topology with three identical WLAN routers is assembled. After testing the WLAN routers, a graph describing the interference in the 2.4 GHz band is displayed, which is achieved by a suitable choice of frequency band, transmission power and channel. The second laboratory task is implemented utilizing the Iperf3 program, which is installed on three Raspberry Pi´s (RPi Zero, RPi 3, and RPi 4). Network congestion is achieved using the wifijammer script, which is installed on RPi 4. In this second laboratory task, the transmission parameters were first verified and the service was denied using the wifijammer script. For evaluation of the second laboratory task, the IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11n utilizing the frequency band 2,4 GHz were chosen. For testing, the following routers were used: Mercusys, Netis, Tp-Link and Asus routers. Once the measurements were over, all the data was processed and included as charts.

Abstracts Lukáš Pagurko The studying of some markers of transforming growth factor pathway in mouse model of atherosclerosis. Diploma thesis Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Pharmacy Background: We observed the expression of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) in mice atherosclerotic plaque by using imunohistochemical methods. The aim was to prove nonlipid-lowering effects of atorvastatin to affect the expression of eNOS. Methods: Female apoE and LDLr deficient mice, aged 16 weeks were used in the study. Biochemical analysis of blood samples and imunohistochemical analysis of the tissue segments were performed. For identification of eNOS expression was used EnVision method with DAB visualization. Results: We found out in biochemical analysis that 8-weeks doses of atorvastatin significantly increases levels of overall cholesterol. Presence of atherosclerotic lesions was observed at all incisions in control group even in atorvastatin group, whereas aterom necrotic fibres was founded at a number of them. The administration of atorvastatin were lead to significant decrease of atherosclerotic lesions compared to untreated group. There were also rapid increase of eNOS expression especially on the surface of atherosclerotic lesions. Conclusion: The positive influence of...

Mertlíková, Veronika ; Nachtigal, Petr (advisor) ; Doleželová, Eva (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biological and Medical Sciences Candidate: Veronika Mertlíková Supervisor: Doc. PharmDr. Petr Nachtigal Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: The study of VCAM-1 expression in experimental atherogenesis. The aim of the thesis is to describe the expression of VCAM-1 in the vessel wall of normocholesterolemic C57BL/6J mice, which were fed standard laboratory diet, and hypercholesterolemic apoE-deficient mice. As an experimental model normocholesterolemic C57BL/6J male mice and apoE-deficient mice at the age of 6 weeks were used. The C57BL/6J male mice were fed standard laboratory diet and apoE-deficient mice were fed cholesterol diet for 8 weeks. After this procedure a biochemical analysis of blood and immunohistochemical analysis of segments taken from aortic sinus and aortal arch were made. In comparison with the control C57BL/6J mice a large level of cholesterol was found in the blood of the apoE-deficient mice. Atherosclerotic lesions are thus generated only by the hypercholesterolemic mice. We were monitoring the expression of VCAM-1 in aortas of the normocholesterolemic C57BL/6J mice without atherosclerotic lesions by immunohistochemical methods, and the same methods were used for monitoring of the areas with and without...
