Determination of mercury content in materials in various stages of wine production, geochemistry of mercury in the vineyard
Buchtová, Jana ; Mihaljevič, Martin (advisor) ; Száková, Jiřina (referee)
This work was focused on determination of mobility of mercury and its content in materials from each part of the wine production process. The aim of this work was to establish the most suitable analytical method for determination and evaluation of changes in content of mercury during the production process. Samples of soil, biomass, vine wood, vine leaves, berries, grapes, rough wine and cider sediment of red wine and also four liquid samples of white wine were analyzed. All the samples originated from the area of Malé Žernoseky and Rudoltice nad Bílinou, white wine samples were collected in Chrámce u Mostu in the northern part of the Czech Republic. Analyzer AMA 254 was used for determination of mercury in solid samples and liquid samples had to be prearranged by PSA analyzer. This analytical approach was not so sufficient and mercury from liquid samples had to be captured by gold-coated amalgamator in first step and then analyzed by AMA 254. Obtained results confirmed interception of mercury mostly in leaves and in the grapes peelings. The grapes from Rudoltice contained 0,0022 mg/kg in dry mass and further processed wine grapes contained 0,0068 mg/kg in dry mass. The lowest content of mercury was in cider and completed wine contained less mercury then the rough wine. Unfiltrated cider from Chrámce has...
Developing and evaluating writing of children in English language teaching
BUCHTOVÁ, Jana
This diploma thesis is concerned with developing and evaluating writing of children in English language teaching. The theoretical part deals with writing as a natural learning process and everything that includes, for instance, what steps are needed to reach successfully a free style, the importance of error correction as well as the ways of correction and evaluation of children{\crq}s written work. It is also focused on writing in English within the Framework Educational Programme for Elementary Education. In the practical part, several concrete lessons were projected in which the ninth-grade children were led to free writing. It means that on the basis of carefully chosen and well-organized exercises young learners proceeded from controlled to free writing. From the gained written work, four from the set of semi-controlled exercises and further were chosen randomly and they were given to be evaluated by two future teachers and two experienced ones. The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out if children are able to write free written work in English within several lessons as well as how the evaluation differs from one teacher to another especially in accordance with the chosen criteria.
Changes in chemical composition of surface water at the model catchment Lesni potok during the spring snowmelt 2009
Navrátil, Tomáš ; Dobešová, Irena ; Rohovec, Jan ; Buchtová, Jana
Changes of surface water chemistry during the spring snowmelt were evaluated at the forested experimental catchment Lesni Potok found in National Reservation Area Voděradské bučiny. The pH value of surface waters decreased and together with high discharge it launched changes of solutes concentrations. As a good indicator of groundwater in the discharge were evaluated concentrations of Si and isotopic signature of 18O-H2O. The concentration of the main anion SO42- in waters of Lesni potok oscillated during the spring snowmelt in dependence of ratio between melting snow, soil solution, precipitation and groundwater. During the period of increased penetration of surface soil horizons with the water from melting snow causing the increase of DOC concentrations. Concentrations of DOC determined the export of total Fe. Concentrations of Al with DOC did not correlate because the driving factor on concentrations of Al at Lesni Potok is the surface water pH. Concentrations of NO3- were rapidly decreasing during the snowmelt and at the end of this episodic event NO3- concentrations were trivial due to the rapid flushing of soil horizons.
