Title: Preparation of downhill mountain biker Objectives: The aim of this work is to extend the knowledge about downhill mountain biking for wider population. At the same time analyse and finding literature of today, approach downhill from the point of training and consecutive modernisation. Methods: This work was made by method of literature research. There were searched two electronic databases: PubMed and Sportdiscus. The same keywords used to searched in all the databases Results: Based on the very small portion of study of scientific literature, it was found that there is not a concrete method of training for downhill mountain bikers. Most of the drivers are inspired by generally known trainings in other cyclists disciplines. Based on scientific studies, the most important skills in downhill mountain biking are specific bike handling and technic precondition. Conclusion: Aim of this work was to introduce topic of downhill mountain biking for wider population. Introduce history and development of downhill mountain biking, briefly present rules of races, characterise downhill from the point of physiology and present training in downhill mountain biking. In the outcome was found that based on scientific literature, the main determinant of performance is technic precondition but is not the only...

Faltys, Lukáš ; Heller, Jan (advisor) ; Brtník, Tomáš (referee)
Title: The analysis of competitors' physical preparation OCR (Obstacle Course Racing). Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to provide the analysis of physical preparation used by the competitors of the obstacle course races. The analysis was completed for all major competitor ability-based classes and then compared among the categories. Methods: For data collection quantitative research was used, provided by the survey method. Its form was an online questionnaire. Results: The research has shown that the competitors of the enthusiast class - recreational athletes mostly value the experience and the adrenalin the obstacle course races bring them, overcoming own maximum, looking for new challenges etc. Those are the type of athletes who do not have high performance expectations, they are not oriented to perform at their highest of abilities. Although, they are still capable of winning. They win over themselves, happy when they manage to overcome own fears. They consider as winning not only expanding own physical and mental capacities, but also just the actual finishing of the race. Performance athletes, compared to the recreational ones, are able to plan their training sessions much more effectively and with better training goals. The performance oriented athletes are much more performance...
Effect of lower limb length-bike rime size relationship on psychophysilogocal response of the organism
Winter preparation of an amateur road cyclist
Hanzalová, Kristýna ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Brtník, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Winter preparation of an amateur road cyclist Objectives: The main aim of the bachelor thesis is to establish a three-month training plan for an amateur road cyclist during the winter preparation period in local conditions. Methods: The bachelor thesis uses experimental and comparative methods. The experiment took the form of a three-month training plan, from December to February, in which we included exercises ranging from general to specific. The comparative part of the bachelor thesis consists of the comparison of input and output of the measured values (body composition, performance test on a running machine and spirometry), analysing whether any progress was made as a result of the training plan, and which skills were particularly affected by it. Results: We can only objectively evaluate the changes in the body composition of the studied subject, as he injured himself towards the end of experiment and we were therefore unable to conduct the performance test on a running machine and spirometry. The Bio-electrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) enabled us to notice a decrease in the fat mass from 8.4% to 7% and an increase in the muscle mass in the area of the upper body from 34.5 kg to 35 kg. Because of the complexity of the workout, the muscle mass in the lower body was reduced in order to...

Total of 179 injuries were recorded, and the injury rate per 1,000 hours of activity was 1,721. The most critical age category in IMA is adolescents and adults with an injury rate of 2,022, which is also the lesson with the highest severity score of 1,74. On the other hand, the junior lessons proved to be the least risky 1,777 and the lessons with less severity of injuries is Benjamin 1,43. The part of the body where the injuries occurred most often is ankle 24% of all recorded injuries. Head injuries occurred in 20.1% and hand...

Motivation for playing games and motives behind different types of games
Foltman, Petr ; Psohlavec, Lukáš (advisor) ; Brtník, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Motivation for playing games and motives behind different types of games Objectives: The aim of this work is to give an overview of the principles of motivation, explain motivation for playing games, compare and create a summary of information and theories about motivation for playing games. Then the aim is to create an overview of motives in different types of games. Methods: This is a theoretical work with use of a method of analysis and synthesis. After an analysis and comparison of the literature review it is synthesized into shorter integrated form. Then we use deduction to link underlying motives to different game types. Results: We found that motivation is a very complex process that is difficult to study. The professional public is not in unison in questions of games definition, classification, purpose and motivation for it, except that children's play serves learning. The inquiry of motivation could be accelerated by the fairly new field of affective neuroscience. Keywords: needs, play, game classification, game categorization, game purpose.
