Clerical life at Žebrák in the high Middle Ages

The main subject of the Bachelor's degree work is monitoring the Church administration in the region in 14th century and at the beginning of the 15th century. The region Žebrácko laid in the deanery of Brdy, whose structure the author describes in the first part of the work. On the basis of the analysis of the sources, the author seeks to create an inventory of parish priests in the parish churches of St. William in Praskolesy, St. Giles in Hořovice and St. Lawrence in Žebrák. The work describes the mobility, education and other activities of individual parish priests. The author also explains the issue of the chapel of St. Procopius, in Praskolesy, in which were found the frescoes in 2005 from 14th century. The work also deals with the question of the patrons rights of individual churches. In this context, the author describes the rotation of the owners in selected areas, as it often held the patrons rights. The last part of the work deals with the Visitation protocol of the Prague achdeacon Paul of Janovice from the years 1379 -1382. The work describes his journey by the deanery of Brdy and focuses on the canonical visitation of monitored sites. The aim of this work is to present and subsequently evaluate the portrait of Elisabeth Richenza of Poland in narrative and diplomatic primary sources and to highlight the existing tendentious and biased attitudes grounded on an assessment based mainly on the testimony of the Zbraslav Chronicle. This thesis deals with life of John Henry of Luxembourg and his second wife Margaret of Troppau. Their marriage life had important part in politics of Charles IV, who was master of marriage policy. Work is based on sources, in which Margaret of Troppau is mentioned. For example chronicles, acts and bills. First chapter is about terminology of marriage, then there is short chapter about first marriage of John Henry and Margaret, countess of Tyrol. Family of Margaret of Troppau is also mentioned. Main part of the work is about marriage of John Henry and Margaret of Troppau, but we cannot say anything definite. Bachelor work would like get to know family life of margraves, where they lived, how their court looked like or what happened to their children. The social status of members of the Unity of the Brethren in Mladá Boleslav in the early 17th century

The Unity of the Brethren has a rich history in Mladá Boleslav. This thesis focused on the social status of members of the Unity of the Brethren in Mladá Boleslav in the early 17th century. The basic source, from which the research is based, is a part of a unique finding of the Brethren Church correspondence, which had been found in 2006. This is the registra of Boleslav corps Church from the years 1610 and 1611. By the processing and evaluation of entries in these registers is determined by amount of members of the Corps unity and their percentage representation of Bohemian Brethren in the population of the city. The participation of members of the Unity in the administration of the city has been identified according to the data in the indexes and records preserved in the books of the early 17th century. The work also pays attention to the representation of Bohemian Brethren in the leading positions of individual guilds in Mladá Boleslav. The subject of research is also the property status of the members of the Unity corps in Mladá Boleslav. Research found that in 1610 and 1611 members of the Unity corps in Mladá Boleslav were 17 % to 18 % of the population of the city. Czech-Meissen Frontier in the Time of the Reign of Jan of Luxembourg

This bachelor's thesis deals with the process of creating power-political support by the governor and focuses on the border area of the north-west and partly also north Bohemia. It is trying to present methods of the Czech monarch with which he could overcome a strong interior opposition including leading members of the Czech aristocracy such as John of Vartemberk and create a system of power support with which he could accomplish plans of his internal and foreign policies. It is therefore trying to determine to what extent the Czech king, John of Bohemia, employed Western European feudal principles, dynastic policy and also influence of municipality as a means of creating support in strategically important regions and how successful he was in his activity. A view of the expansive activities of the Czech governors in the Czech-Meissen area in 11-13th century and in connection with it also a brief outline of the expansive concern of the Premyslid dynasty competitors on the other side of the border, margraves of Meissen and since 1248 also landgraves of Thuringia of House of Wettin is also a part of this bachelor's thesis. Vineculture in Prague during the reign of Charles IV.

This thesis is concerned with vineculture in towns of Prague and Bohemia in the 14th century during the reign of Charles IV of Luxembourg. Primarily it emanates from two of his privileges issued in 1358, through which the this ruler established a vineyard authority and a single vineyard order. It was due to these two privileges that the expansion of this economic sector in Bohemia arrived. The thesis also deals with vineculture in southern Moravia which is the traditional wine-growing region. However mostly it deals with the region of conurbation of medieval Prague.
Podebradian assemblies in Nymburk in the 15th century

Work is dedicated to assemblies of utaquists in Nymburk in years 1439, 1440 and 1444, especially in it's regiunal importance for the town. Firstly the work trise to discover th imporance of each participant of assembly in 1440 and their authority in county of Boleslav. This work tries to anwer the question where could these assemblies took place in Nymburk with use of archive materilas and literature and comparison with other towns, where took place similar assemblies.
The rise of the Krajir lineage from Krajk during the second half of the 15th century

The aim of this graduation thesis is to outline the history of the Krajir from the Kraig lineage in the Czech Kindom fom the end of the 14th century until the end of 15th century. The fundamental part of this thesis is to observe the most important moments which lead to the rise of the Krajir lineage in the second half of 15th century. In this period the Krajir lineage from Kraig is represented by Wolfgang from Kraig. Because of him the Krajir lineage become very important in Czech politics. The possibility to participate in the local municipalities was based upon their family funds.
Battle of Mühldorf and its reflection in (not only) knightly literature

The main theme of this thesis is the battle of Mühldorf. In 1322, the forces of two newly elected Holy Roman emperors, Louis of Wittelsbach and Frederick of Habsburg, came to Upper Bavaria. They met to battle for legal succession of the Holy Roman Empire throne. One of the important actors within this conflict was the Czech king, John of Bohemia. Contemporaneous chronicles are compared and contrasted in the goal of reconstructing the course of history. This thesis is furthter enhanced by discussing the problem from the point of view studies of current German historians. By reading this thesis, one may obtain a mental portrait of the time and by doing so, will get acquainted with the kings of that ruled the lands, learn the reasonings behind the conflict and understand the consequence of this battle, an effect that resonated more than just on the Czech kingdom.

Catholic Reformation in the Prague Towns after the Battle of White Mountain. Prague's New Town in a context of the process of the catholic confessionalisation Abstract Olga Fejtová This thesis' methodological ground is a conception of both clerical and secular politics of recatholisation in a relation to Prague's New Town within the Post-White-Mountain period as part of a process of confessionalisation, i. e catholic confessialisation, within the paradigm that was introduced into European historiography in 1980s . The recatholisation within Bohemian lands in relationship to the paradigm of confessionalisation invokes a strategy of state and clerical power. Its enforcement and exercise in political practice were illustrated by normative materials that represented attendant signs of a development of the catholic confessionalisation. The target of this thesis is firstly to describe the progress of politics concerning recatholisation in a relationship to one of Prague's towns by using contemporary decrees of both secular and clerical origin. Furthermore, it shall investigate issues echoing within and from life of the New-Prague-Town's society of the 17th century. This within both public and private spheres of burgess' life.
