The topic of the bachelor's thesis is the design of a battery-powered industrial radio. The main goal is to make an industrial radio designed for demanding conditions, such as construction sites and workshops and deal with ergonomic, functional and aesthetic requirements. The design is based on the current state of knowledge and emphasis is placed on the shortcomings of current products. The resulting product is designed for the target group of craftsmen and is enriched with new innovations.

New Evidence on Abnormal Stock Returns and Abnormal Trading Volume Associated with Inclusions in S&P 500 and FTSE 100

This thesis analyses abnormal returns and volume around the inclusion of stocks in S&P 500 and FTSE 100 in the 2011-2022 period. The paper contributes to existing research by providing a daily abnormal return analysis for additions to S&P 500 and a thorough study of abnormal returns and trading volume for additions to FTSE 100, a study that has not been recently conducted. For the first time, this thesis provides a comparison of the inclusion effect on the two indices. This thesis reports new results compared to earlier research. The results show that despite the apparent redistribution of stocks one day before the inclusion, there are no abnormal returns on either index on this day. The analysis reports a negative price reaction for additions from S&P 400 and a positive price reaction for additions from outside of S&P 1500. The analysis of FTSE 100 additions shows a negative price effect of the announcement and no daily abnormal return one day after the announcement. Additionally, a different price and volume reaction is observed between the stocks already once added and stocks newly added to the index, as the latter faces a stronger abnormal reaction.

Cyber crime

Development of information technology is one of the most dynamic parts of today's global society. Along with the coming of new technologies it generates new types of crime, eventually existing types of criminal activities in this area are moving from the real world to cyberspace. This rapid development of cyber crime enforces corresponding changes in the legislation related to cyberspace. In the Czech Republic the most fundamental changes in cyber crime law have been made along with the new Criminal Code. The new code has modified some areas, that were not mentioned by previous criminal code, refined or amended previous terminology related to cyberspace and added institutes required by international commitments, especially by the Convention on Cybercrime. The purpose of this diploma thesis on "Cyber crime" is to outline the issues of cyber-crime, point out some troubling topics, which are currently present in cyberspace, and outline possible future development of criminal law in cyberspace. In the beginning of the thesis there is a short summary of cyberspace and cyber crime history, that is followed by definitions of selected basic concepts of cyberspace and cyber crime.
