Title: Quality of life and satisfaction with life in sitting volleyball players Objectives: The objective of this thesis is to determine and compare the quality of life of volleyball players in the Czech Republic. The aim is also to evaluate or compare between measurements from 2021 and 2022, sitting volleyball players with the general population and the relationship between quality of life and life satisfaction. Methods: In this thesis, a qualitative method of analysis of the results was used. The survey included standardized questionnaires SWLS, WHOQOL-BREF, and additionally a demographic questionnaire. The participants of the research were 10 players (8 men and 2 women). Results: The research showed that the life satisfaction of sitting volleyball players were generally satisfied with their lives for both measures. Quality of life differed between the two measurements. The area of social relationships came out best for the first measurement, followed by experiencing, environment and physical health. For the second measurement, the environment was the highest scoring area, followed by social relationships with the same results and experiencing, and last was physical health. All domains except physical health are above average compared to the general population. Keywords: sitting voleyball,...

Title: Development of speed skills in ice hockey in categories U11, U13, U15 Objectives: This master thesis is mainly focusing on verify whether the development of speed skills on the ice in ice hockey is effective off-ice training. Another goal of the thesis is to experimentally verify if the development of speed skills has a different impact on selected age groups according to the same intervention program. Methods: In this master thesis was used the method of quantitative analysis of results. The measurement took place in the form of motor tests, which were compared between two research groups. Results: All categories were divided into two research groups, which completed a six-week intervention training program on-ice and off-ice or only on-ice. In the 20 m direct sprint test and test stop and start, there was a significant improvement more in the experimental group of all categories, which we assessed according to Cohen's d. In the reaction test, only the experimental group U15 improved. In the last agility Illinois test, experimental groups U13 and U15 improved. For the other groups, the players either did not improve significantly or both groups improved equally. Subsequent comparisons between categories showed that the younger categories improved more than the older ones. Keywords: Ice...

Arnošt, Daniel ; Jebavý, Radim (advisor) ; Vojta, Zdeněk (referee)
Title: Warming up for ice hockey Objectives: The aim of these bachelor theses is to create a survey about warm up for ice hockey. Based on a survey, study of specialized literature and consultation with selected trainers I suggest a battery of exercises on a selected part of self-myofascial release with selected tools (foam rollers, balls). Methods: For the purpose of this bachelor thesis a quantitative scientific method was used. The data was obtained using the poll method. Data has been embedded in Excel. From these data, tables and charts were created. Results: Players spend longer time before the game than before training. Next results have confirmed that players have knowledge of mobilization, activation and self-myofascial release exercises. They use specific tools - foam rollers, resistance bands and balls. I create a battery of exercises for self-myofascial release. Keywords: ice hockey, warming up, foam roller, mobility, SMR

Title: Warming up for ice hockey Objectives: The main aim of these bachelor theses is to collect information from the professional literature on the ice hockey warming, in particular from the part - mobility. Find out how players use and develop during their warm-up. From the lessons learned, suggest a possible stack of exercises from which players can derive. Methods: For the purpose of this bachelor thesis a quantitative scientific method was used. The data was obtained using the poll method. Data has been embedded in Excel. From these data, tables and charts were created. Results: Poll methods I found most players prefer individual warm-ups to groups. The warm up time takes much longer before the match. In warm-up, players use a combination of static and dynamic exercises. The most common tool used is "Foam roller". There is knowledge of mobilization exercises. I'm attaching exercise stack to mobility. Keywords: ice hockey, warming up, stretching, mobility, mobility and stability stimulation
The meanings of the final myth in Plato's Phaedo
Arnošt, Daniel ; Hogenová, Anna (referee) ; Milko, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is studying the final myth in terms of Plato's dialog Phaedo. Author's intention is to prove the myth' s sense and meaning in connexion with the arguments for the soul's immortality witch shape the main part of the dialogue and the part of Plató's so called dialectic methods. The introduction part deals with the question whether (any?) dialectic reasoning can be sufficient for such a weightily topic which is the soul's existence after death. The text itself is divided into two parts. The first section should serve as the clarification of the Plato's dialectic method and therefore the author draws his attention to the four argument s for proving the soul's immortality. The second section is dedicated to the final myth witch comprises of the excourse on concerning the pre-platonic eschatological conception as well as the interpretation of the final myth itself. In the closing part of the thesis the author's aim is to prove that the role of the myth is consoling (it relieves the anxiety about death) together with the awareness that in Plató's context the myth is necessary for linking to the insufficient function of the dialectic method.
