Wireless sensoric network for hop drying facility
Čapek, Lukáš ; Čech, Jakub (referee) ; Šnajdr, Václav (advisor)
The purpose of this project is to build a wireless sensor network for measuring temperature and relative humidity in hop drying facility. This is a monitoring device, consists of several sensor units and one control and display unit. Display unit coordinates a whole network and can display data on LCD or download collected data to PC. Sensor unit measures a relative humidity, temperature, battery voltage and transmits data to display unit. Units contain a transceiver which operates in ISM band 868 MHz. Circuits are driven by 8-bits microcontroller Freescale.

Cardiotachometer
Čech, Jakub ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Čech, Petr (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with theme of heartbeats. Monitoring and evaluation of heartbeat is important for diagnostician cardiac dysfunction. First part of thesis is focused on anatomical description of heart and his operation. Another part is description of electrical activity of the heart and methods of capture. There is also mention of the cardiac rhythm and its disorders. One of the principal objective of this thesis is to study methods for sensing heart rate. These methods are analyzed and then selected a particular method for further solutions. The core thesis is to design functional cardiotachometer. Cardiotachometer derives the heart rate signal from phonocardiographical signal, which is acoustic manifestation of heart. Implementation takes place in the Labview, which is graphical programming environment. Suggested the device measures the current and average heart rate and the addition of HRV analysis in time domain.
Replica of historical dagger
Čech, Jakub ; Chladil, Josef (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with a production of dagger replica. This work describes basic information about history of daggers, their construction and technologies used for their production. Furthermore, there is described manufacturing of the dagger prototype including its final assembly and evaluation.
Production process for a replica of a historic firearm
Čech, Jakub ; Chladil, Josef (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the production of a prototype pistol with a wheel mechanism. In the theoretical part the history is described together with the terminology focused on firearms up to the 17th century. This is followed by a demonstration of the design of the gun in the software version and a demonstration of the machines that were used for the production of the prototype. The practical part describes the production process of some components needed to make the pistol mechanism, together with the overall evaluation of the final product.
Protection of three dimensional trade marks and designs
Čech, Jakub ; Růžička, Michal (advisor) ; Pítra, Vladimír (referee)
Resumé Protection of Three-Dimensional Trade Marks and Designs The aim of this work was to examine the registration requirements of three- dimensional trade marks and designs, to compare the rights and protection conferred by each of these forms of intellectual property and to observe the interaction of trade mark and design when their subject matter is identical or similar. First part of this work focuses on the questions regarding the registration requirements of the three-dimensional trade marks. The work looks closely on what constitutes a sign and which absolute grounds for refusal of registration are mostly employed when dealing with the three-dimensional trade marks. Furthermore this work looks at exclusion of registration of certain types of shapes, on the requirement of good faith when applying for trade mark registration and briefly at the average consumer. The landmark cases cited in this part of the work are Dyson v Registrar of Trade Marks, Philips v Remington, Henkel v OHIM, Lego v OHIM and Lindt v Franz Hauswirth. Second part of this work looks at the definition of design and its relationship to product itself. It also looks at the background of design protection and closely at the registration requirements of designs, namely the novelty requirement, the individual character and exclusion of...

Čech, Jakub ; Vybíral, Roman (advisor) ; Karfíková, Marie (referee)
Title: Tax aspects of disposal of cryptocurrencies This thesis aims to answer the selected questions from the legal and, above all, the tax- law framework. Cryptocurrencies are a fairly young phenomenon, which is still developing. They are mainly used as an alternative to state-recognized currencies or a specific investment instrument. Because of the significant profits that transactions can bring with them, the issue of determining related tax obligations is important. The work is divided into 4 basic parts. The first part deals with the general definition of the cryptocurrencies and other relevant institutes. The second part deals with personal income tax and the third part deals with value added tax. The final fourth part deals with the issue of the future development of cryptocurrencies regulation. In the first part, focus is placed on the general definition of cryptocurrencies within the rule of law, with emphasis on comparison with selected traditional institutes of financial law. Attention is also paid to the specific features of cryptocurrencies that are relevant in terms of tax administration and related tax duties. Considerable attention is also paid to the criminal law consequences that might arise in the event of non-compliance with tax obligations. At the end of this section, the...
