Indirect air heating

The master Thesis deals with indirect air heating in air handling units. In the theoretical part of the thesis the categories of heat exchangers are defined according to their positioning in ventilation system, used material and type of heat transfer fluid. To the issue of calculating heat exchanges through heat exchangers and description of different kinds of regulation of primary heat transfer fluid is dedicated a separate chapter. The experimental part of the thesis deals with determining performance of current air heat exchanger at set thermal gradient with various heat transfer fluids. In the calculating part of the Thesis, based on measured values, are suggested two possible solutions for use of technological waste heat. Final evaluation of particular solutions was based on the criterion of efficiency usage and implementation investment costs.

The Bachelor thesis deals with heating system and preparation of hot water for a boarding house building. In the thesis is introduced fundamental systematics of heat line water systems and heating distribution. By the most frequently used materials are identified advantages, disadvantages and possibilities of application. Piping joints are divided according to disassembleability and single options are furthermore described. In the calculating part is analyzed the particular building based on its characteristics. According to this analysis is the building classified from the viewpoint of energetic demands and therefore was determined its “Building envelope energy label”. Based on those and additional data was designed the heating system in correspondence with national regulations. Suggested solution takes in account efficiency, comfort, acquisition and operating costs.

Employment of persons with disabilities in the Czech Republic

Approximately every tenth citizen in the Czech Republic suffers from a disability. Persons with disabilities form a vulnerable group in the labour market, which is caused mainly by a lower level of their education. Therefore, it is important that legislation protects the disabled persons and encourages employers to their employment. Employing of disabled people is in the interest of entire society and also has an integrative dimension. The main objective of this thesis is to assess comprehensively the legal regulation of the employment of persons with disabilities in the Czech Republic, to reflect recent amendments to applicable legislation and simultaneously to verify the premise that these regulations are satisfactory and feasible in practice. The thesis consists of four parts. The first part focuses on the basic definitions and states in which aspects some similar terms are identical or different. Special attention is paid to the definition of a "disabled person" in all its major forms. The second part deals with international and European regulation, by which the Czech Republic is bound and with which the national legislation must be in accordance. Effect of the search image on the lizard ability to reveal a Batesian mimic

The effect of the search image on the ability of hand reared skinks (Chalcides sexlineatus) to reveal a "fake" Batesian mimic was tested with respect to their previous experience with palatable experimental prey (Guyana spotted cockroach Blaptica dubia) which served as a motivational prey as well as midsized mealworm beetle larvae (Tenebrio molitor). The red firebug (Pyrrhocoris apterus) was used as an aposematic model.
