Removal of sulfonamide antibiotics using advanced oxidation processes
Fučík, Jan ; Suková, Petra (referee) ; Švestková, Tereza (advisor)
This thesis deals with a present problem of increasing concentrations of pharmaceuticals and other micropollutants in aquatic environment, because these micropollutants are not treated sufficiently in conventional wastewater treatment plants. It is necessary to develop new technological processes, that are able to treat these pollutants sufficiently. One of the options is that conventional methods would be complementary with advanced oxidation processes (AOP), which would work as a tertiary cleaning process on wastewater treatment plants. The actual knowledge, principle of the plasma discharge and principle of analytical methods is described in theoretical part of the thesis. In experimental part of the thesis, the plasma discharge is used for removal of sulfonamide antibiotics (sulfamethoxazole), as the representative of AOP. Samples were taken during the plasma treatment of the model solution of sulfamethoxazole. These samples were analysed by LC-ESI-MS as the appropriate analytical method. An efficiency of degradation of sulfamethoxazole in different solutions (neutral, acidic and alkaline) was evaluated in this bachelor thesis. A suitability of plasma application on degradation of sulfonamide antibiotics was reviewed by comparing with other AOP.
Device for Honey Bee Activity Measurement
Fučík, Jan ; Šimíček, Tomáš (referee) ; Novák, Marek (advisor)
This thesis engages in characteristic honey bee's behaviour first. Subsequently it engages in project of device for honey bee activity measurement. It reasons about non-electric quantities which can honey bee's behaviour represent. Description of components which can be use for measure these quantities follows. Description is intent on possible accuracy and energy consumption of each component. Appropriate method is selected subsequnetly. In realitionship with method are selected sensors and projected controlling circuit. There is a summary of parameters of device in resume. There is also design of the parts which do not work as good as is ideal in resume.

Financial time series model identification
Fučík, Jan ; Zichová, Jitka (advisor) ; Prášková, Zuzana (referee)
This thesis deals with the financial time series model identification. The univariate and multivariate ARMA models and their identification criteria are described. The procedures using the correlation structure of the time series and some information criteria are presented. The functioning of the criteria is verified on simulated time series AR, MA and ARMA. Afterwards, the criteria are compared in terms of reliability and simplicity of use. Finally, there are two examples of univariate and multivariate ARMA model identification for the real financial time series. The data and the R programme source code are enclosed on a CD. Non-linear models for financial time series and software tools for their analysis
Fučík, Jan ; Zichová, Jitka (advisor) ; Hendrych, Radek (referee)
This thesis deals with some time series models applicable in finance. First, the basic concepts are introduced and the linear AR models are presented. Afterwards, the reader becomes familiar with the nonlinear ARCH volatility models including their properties and the model-building. The generalized GARCH models are briefly mentioned. Another part of the thesis shows the usage of these models to real data in two available software products - R and Mathematica. The programs are compared from the point of the obtained results and the usability for the analysis of financial time series via the explained models. The description of the procedures and the attached CD with the outputs of the programs allow the reader to apply the models on his or her own data.
Information System Assessment and Proposal for ICT Modification
Umlaufová, Pavla ; Fučík, Jan (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on information system evaluation and change proposals for the OHL ŽS, a.s. company. It contains an analysis of the current situation of the company, process improvement suggestions and a proposal of modifications for the information system.
Design of a GUI for Home Control for the Elderly
Válek, Lukáš ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Fučík, Jan (advisor)
This work focuses on the problems with the design of software for the elderly and ways to solve them. Furthermore, a design of a control interface for smart homes, which takes these problems into account, was done. The process of the design is described and reasons for the decision that are made are given. Following is a description of the implementation of the proposed interface and its testing on a targeted group of users. The work also outlines a possible extension of the interface for further use.
Remote Lift Malfunction Diagnostics
Weisser, Filip ; Husák, Jiří (referee) ; Fučík, Jan (advisor)
The objective of this bachelor's thesis was to apprise with the elevator control unit and to design a conventer to communicate with a server. Next objective was to design a program to collect and store information sent by the elevator control unit and visualize it. This communication runs through the TCP/IP protocol and data are stored in a database and visualized through a web interface. Testing was done by a control unit, which partially replaces the elevator system.
Smart Collar
Kožušník, Adam ; Škoda, Petr (referee) ; Fučík, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with problem of smart collar for a dog. The goal is to design and implement an application with a suitable user interface, which will monitor movements of a dog. I used Texas Instrument's device named SensorTag from as a motion detector. The program is created as a console application with values and movements displayed on an internet website.
