Fuid bed boiler for biomass

This master thesis designes the calculation of fluid boiler with specific part - the circular fluid bed. The heat is given by combustion of wood biomass. The thesis is devided into several parts. All necessary elementary results are going to be reached within these parts: an analysis of solid fuel, stechiometry calculation, discussion on output limits and the environmental point of view, definition of elemental heat losses and general heat efficiency, calculation and design of a combustion part and its heat loads and calculation of enthalpies with different ash concentrations. All these phases get to a successful design of the fluid boiler heat balance and sizes of heat-flow surfaces. The composition of the boiler shows the added drawing.

Calculation of column destillation unit.

The bachelor's thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part discusses principles and theoretical base of the distillation process. The majority part of this thesis includes solution of elementar steps towards the resultant parameters of the distillation column. This results may be served like input parameters during other calculations, which can make an effective optimalization of the distillation column for the practical use. The last part of bachelor's thesis compares results of the second part with results, which was generated by ChemCAD aplication with the same input numerical values.

Strategy of Ventricular Tachycardia Therapy after Myocardial Infarction and in Other Structural Heart Diseases. Electrical storm.

Aims: Electrical storm (ES) adversely affects prognosis of patients with structural heart disease and may become a life-threatening event. Catheter ablation (CA) has been proposed for the treatment of ES. Frequent episodes of polymorphic ventricular tachycardias/ventricular fibrillation (VT/VF) in patients with coronary artery disease can be triggered by monomorphic ventricular premature beats (VPBs) and thus, amenable to catheter ablation. Our goal was to evaluate the efficacy of CA ablation both in acute and long-term suppression of ES. Methods: Fifty consecutive patiens (age 59±13 years, 8 female) with coronary artery disease (38), idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (5), arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (6), and/or with combined aetiology (1) underwent CA for ES. Mean left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was 29 ± 11%. All patients underwent electroanatomical mapping, and CA was performed to abolish all inducible ventricular arrhythmias. Catheter ablation of electrical storm due to focally triggered polymorphic VT/VF was performed in nine patients. All 9 patients had previous myocardial infarction (MI) (interval of 3 days to 171 months).
