What is the motivation of the seniors to the study of the universities of the third age?

The work presented is focused on the study motivation regarding U3V. The main goal of this work is to examine the most common types of motivation of seniors in relation to the U3V study programme and to compare them with aspects which could potentially influence the overall motivation. This shall be achieved via research. Furthermore, this work is also focused on the problematic of motivation as a separate topic and as such deals with the already existing theory of motivation and attempts to use these as a learning ground for determining what the actual motivation to study the U3V programme is. This work consists of theoretical and practical parts.

Definition of Genocide in Modern Times

Genocide is a crime unlike others and with the help of the 1948 Genocide Convention and its definition, it has received acknowledgement as its own crime in international law. The thesis takes us through Article II of the Genocide Convention analyzing the different elements that make up the definition. The aim of the thesis was to analyze the sustainability and applicability of the definition with the usage of various cases, further examining if the definition is suitable for modern times international law and politics. Accordingly, various relevant international relations concepts were discussed such as, globalization and its backlash and well as power politics. The topic is extremely relevant and crucial in our world today because there are various cases which are not acknowledged under the Genocide Convention due to the restrictions of the genocide definition. Among those are cases concerning groups that are subject to large hate and discrimination, and are not protected under the definition but satisfy all other elements of the crime. Through the discussion of the definition's elements, various cases from the ICTY, ICTR, and the ICJ were pulled in order to showcase the concluding arguments. The Effectiveness Principles in the Official Development Assistance of the Czech Republic

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the emphasis placed on the implementation of the effectiveness principles of the official development assistance in the bilateral projects in the responsibility of the Czech Development Agency (CDA). Projects in Ethiopia, Cambodia, and Moldova in the years 2009-2013 and 2017-2020 were analysed. The thesis observes the principles of ownership, alignment, managing for results, and mutual accountability that are based on the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness (2005) and Accra Agenda for Action (2008). A content analysis was conducted of annual and final reports on the bilateral projects provided by CDA. It was found that most of the examined projects had placed a strong or rather strong emphasis on the implementation of the observed principles. The emphasis on the implementation of the principles was also compared between 2009-2013 and 2017-2020. The aim was to test the hypothesis based on the academic literature, according to which the emphasis on the implementation of the principles should have been stronger in the first period. The hypothesis was not accepted for either principle but was rejected for two. The thesis also found that the emphasis on the implementation of most of the principles was stronger in Ethiopia than in Moldova.

Public diplomacy of Great Britain, Germany, and France in the Czech Republic taking into account the question of the European Union

This diploma thesis deals with public diplomacy of France, Great Britain, and Germany in the Czech Republic. Based on the theoretical parts, two models of public diplomacy are formulated. The main criteria for the division of the models are the goals of public diplomacy. The first one is a model of promoting a positive image of a state abroad that is used for improving the image of the state in front of the foreign public. In the case of the second model, states can use the interests of public diplomacy to actively promote the values and views of the state that uses public diplomacy. After the presentation of public diplomacy organisations of the selected states and the historical development of their activities in the Czech Republic, an analysis was performed based on data collected from social networks, websites, and interviews with several representatives of public diplomacy. The practices of British, French, and German public diplomacy were categorized based on the goals mentioned within the official documents, the goals of individual public diplomacy institutions, partners, topics, and the tools they use to work the topics. Based on the analysis, none of the public diplomacy of the selected countries operating in the Czech Republic can be assigned a model of promoting values.

The given thesis is focused on ethics and morality and its justification.The main aim of the thesis was to justify morality and put it in context. Another objective of the thesis was to explain morality in context with presence of another person. Different approaches of various philosophers are also shown in the thesis in the context of their own ethical field of application. The thesis is theoretical and in its main part it explains the terms cohere with morality and being a good person.
