Automation of the digitron testing process
Říha, Radim ; Valach, Soběslav (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on automation of the nixie tube burn-in process. It was created to solve the problems of the current burn-in machine used in the company Dalibor Farny, which manufactures nixie tubes and nixie tube clocks. The thesis first introduces the reader to nixie tubes, their construction, and principles. This is followed by an evaluation of the current state of the burn-in machine and a proposal for an automated solution. Then the new machine design, construction and software development will be carried out. Finally, the achieved results will be evaluated.
HDR (high dynamic range) image capture using line-scan camera
Říha, Radim ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on designing a system for controlling line scan cameras, which allows HDR image acquisition. The thesis first explains line scan cameras and the principle of HDR acquisition. Design of the control system and explanation of the individual signals and interfaces follows. Next the components are chosen, and the controller is designed as a microcontroller with additional circuitry, allowing for communication and control of other system blocks. Design, assembly, and evaluation of the controller PCB including the design of the box follows. The next part of the thesis explains the firmware, which was designed and tweaked during the hardware design stage. The application for controlling the system and image processing is designed next. In the final part, the whole system functionality is tested with a prototype of the lighting and the system is evaluated.
