The major aim of the thesis was to analyze, what was the influence of public (economic) policy in transition on the creation of rules in the Czech Republic. Who created the policy? How was the policy conducted? What was the role of the rules? What was the international context in that era? What was the influence of these external factors on the development in the Czech Republic. Other goals of the thesis dealt with the following: availability of suitable tools to analyze transition; key assumptions of public policy; rule making; the role of rule makers. The thesis does not attempt to describe all relevant approaches from modern economic theory that would be useful to analyze the transition processes. The thesis uses a selection of tools that can help to analyze institutions and rules in society from another view, than does standard legal theory or political science. Use of tools of economic analysis (especially from the area of microeconomics and new approaches of economics) can be characterized as complementary for institutional analysis. Evaluation of a project financed from public funds

This thesis is focused on evaluation of a project financed from public funds. Theoretical basis for project management was described and discussed. The specifics that are encountered in the management of soft projects were also described. It was subsequently discussed the possibility of financing soft projects from EU structural funds. The practical part follows the theoretical background and focuses on the evaluation of a specific non-investment project. The selected project aimed to promote the application of people over 50 years in the labor market. It was evaluated what the organization did well in managing this project and what could be improved in the future.

The Factors of Competiveness of Companies in Engineering Industry

The thesis is called The Factors of Competiveness of Companies in Engineering Industry. I deal with the current situation in engineering, meaning of innovations in companies, the aspects which stimulate them and on the contrary limit them and the possibilities of various kinds of cooperation. The thesis explains the importance of regular analysis of situation of companies on the market, careful determination and fulfillment of the strategy and the operational effectiveness. According to the used resources the factors of competitiveness were determined. In the practical part I analyzed four companies from the surroundings of Ústí nad Orlicí which produce radiators, fittings, machines for textile industry and buses. From acquired information it is possible to say that these companies are competitive and they focus on innovations. I discussed the factors of competitiveness with the managers of engineering companies and I created the summary of the factors which influence prosperity of the engineering companies.

Analysis of financing small store in South Bohemia region

The first part of Master`s thesis focuses on defining the concept of small and medium sized company, a description of their meaning and the possibility of obtaining grants from EU structural funds and from government institutions. Within the options of grant will be prepared and submitted a grant application for a subsidized loan from Czech-Moravian Guarantee and Development Bank or from another entity. The second part of Thesis deals with the business plan. Thesis compares business plan from the franchisor with the reality that arose in building small store in Tabor and its operation in the first fifteen months. Based on the comparison may be designed to optimizing cost outlets of the store. The contribution of this Thesis is to look at a small retail business and it's financing. Such a complex view can help to similar retailers with orientation in the establishment and funding of a similar type of retail businesses. It will also be evaluated by franchise concept Náš grunt in the light of the real picture of financing its stores.

Business incubators and their importance in enhancing the competitiveness of regions

The diploma thesis focuses on business incubators and the impact they create on the region's competitiveness. The primary purpose of the paper is to analyze the activity of business incubators and to demonstrate, using real examples, positive contribution of their activity on the regional competitiveness. A method, I intend to use, is application of theory covered in theoretical part on my practical part. The basis for analyzing the particular incubator are information collected from the questionnaire survey, structured interviews and documents available.

The goal of my thesis is to describe Project management office, its functions; a structure and its place in an organization as well as assumptions for its right implementation in an orgnanization. A first and a second section of the thesis introduce project management and project management office as such. Basic functions and models are described. A third section deals with each stages of implementatation of the office with a particular focus on main analysis and documents. Trends in implementation of the office, main challenges and variables influencing project management office performance are described in fourth section. The informantion was assembled based on studies carried out in the last 7 years. The last section consists of research, analysis and documentation for the first stage of implementation process designed for a specific organization which is the main outcome of the thesis.

Designing tools to manage a community e-shop and optimization of its processes

The aim of this thesis was to provide manager of a particular e-shop a practical overview of the current state of strategic and operational management and to suggest possible solutions to discovered imperfections. Within the analysis of the current state following assessments has been accomplished: evaluations of company's vision, related goals, design and implementation of the strategy, organizational structure and set of procedures in the company, analysis of jobs activities and full time equivalent analysis. In addition, key business processes of the community e-shop have been mapped with employees and costs were assigned to their various activities, thereby to obtain quantification of the average cost per order. Steps were designed to optimise key processes to improve e-shop's operational efficiency.

The EU Grants For Farmers

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the EU grants for Czech farmers. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the particular chapters of the theoretical part of the work, it discusses the Common Agricultural Policy of EU, its financing and management. Furthermore, it focuses on the Czech funding legislation and on the Cross Compliance. At the end of this part, there is the overview of grants for farmers. The practical part of the work deals with the application of suitable grant to the concrete corporation and its project.

MAS operation in Slovakia

Bachelor thesis addresses the performance of "Local Action Groups" (MAS) with respect to project management of EU structural funds. The aim is to describe LEADER and describe the use of project management in managing these microregions. The work will be analyzing the measures under MAS Vršatec and setting criteria for selecting applications for grant assistance for the most efficient allocation of public funds in the MAS, and thus LEADER.
