PaedDr. Šotolová Eva, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The aim of this thesis is to analyse the educational therapeutic approach in the therapeutic communities, especially those which are provided in Magdalena's community. The thesis consists of two parts- the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the therapeutic community connected with drugs Abuse and Addiction. The thesis briefly describes the history of the therapeutic communities all over the world and also the situation in the Czech Republic and the last part consists of the various targets and means of particular therapies. In terms of the practical part is to map the way of living of the TK Magdalena's clients - the way of life before joining Magdalena's community, reasons for their motivation for treatment and expectations of clients from the treatment process, through their own perceptions. Affirmative approaches in the primary school system with a Focus on Educating Roma pupils

The diploma thesis deals with affirmative approaches in the primary school system, with a focus being placed on educating Roma pupils. It includes the historical context that is important to gain an understanding of the issues in this area, and concentrates on the concept of the Roma Integration Strategy for 2015-2020, presenting the objectives of the Strategy aimed at supporting the education of the Roma. The determinants that have an impact on the process of educating Roma pupils - the family and school in particular - are characterised. Furthermore, the significance of the affirmative approaches playing a major role in achieving social integration and facilitating the creation of equal opportunities for the Roma in education, including employment and social involvement, is illustrated. The last chapter of the thesis aims to evaluate the preparatory class, which is among compensatory approaches to Roma pupils in danger of social exclusion, and verifies whether a two-year education in the preparatory class can compensate for Roma children's delayed psychomotor development before they enter the first grade. Behavioral disorders as a secondary symptom of pupils with ADHD in the 2nd stage of primary school. Abstract: The rigorous thesis focuses on the issues surrounding behavioral disorders including their etiology, prognosis and prevalence and is based on the current situation in the Czech Republic. The main aim of this study was to determine an association between learned or socially conditioned disorders (environmental factors) and disorders we call specific disorders, which are based on biological causes (hyperkinetic disorder - ADD/ADHD). The author worked from the opinion, or "pedagogical ground", that teaching children with hyperkinetic syndrome is more demanding. Therefore the rigorous study deals with hyperkinetic syndrome (ADD/ADHD) in detail, especially in relation to associated secondary symptoms. The most significant disruptive symptoms perceived in the school environment are impulsiveness and aggressiveness, which are addressed in the theoretical part. Comparison of primary prevention at the second level of elementary schools in Most and Prague

The diploma thesis Comparison of primary prevention at the second level of elementary schools in Most and Prague discusses the implementation of primary prevention at the second level of elemetary school in these two selected locations. The diploma thesis is thematically divided into six chapters. The first part defines the basic terminology related to the topic of primary prevention. This section also contains information about particular topics of risky behavior and counsulting services of elementary schools. The second part follows a survey among school prevention methodologists in Most and Prague. The objective of the following practical part is to identify and compare what form and under what conditions is implemented primary prevention of risky behavior among pupils of the second level of elementary schools. For the survey was used quantitative method, in the form of a questionnaire divided between school prevention methodologists in both cities. In the final part there are interpreted the data obtained in the survey, which confirmed that in both areas there are different approaches to the implementation of primary prevention at the second levels of elementary schools. PaeDr. Eva Šotolová, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This thesis solves two serious topics of special pedagogic. Behavioural disorders and self-harming behaviour. Self-harming behaviour is deliberate, conscious and often repetitive violation of physical integrity without intent to die. The work is divided into 11 chapters. The first are focused on behavioural disorders, self-harming behaviours, and crisis intervention. Other chapters deal with the goals, research questions and chosen method of treatment. The aim was to map the occurrence, factors and methods of self-harming and describe alternative techniques of reducing this behaviour. Qualitative research is used in this work - analysing the anamneses of individuals with behavioural disorders and interviews with ethopedic workers. The inquiry of documentation shows that self-harming behaviour is caused by negative effects of family and social environment. The most common methods include self-cutting of girls, fists and head pounding against the wall of boys. Approaches by the government and non-profit sector to provide education to the Roma in eastern Slovakia

The subject of this thesis is to describe the approach of the state and the non-profit sector to education of Romani children in Eastern Slovakia. The theoretical part is focused on the approach of state, from pre-school through elementary school. The second chapter is devoted to the concept of social disadvantages and definitions of children coming from this type of environment. It clarifies known concepts such as zero class, preparatory class, teacher assistant and a full-day educational system, related to primary education and pupils from socially disadvantaged environment. The practical part is specifically dedicated to a single non-profit organization working in eastern Slovakia, ETP Slovakia - Center for Sustainable Development, with a description of the organization and their projects. Qualitative research was conducted using semi-structured interviews. The aim of this thesis is to describe the activities of five staff members of the NGO ETP Slovakia, their preferred styles of work with children and to find out if they themselves see the benefits of non-profit organizations within the village Velka Ida.
