Analysis of the influence of the material model on the mechanical properties of plastic composite parts
Hudeček, Jan ; Poul, Ondřej (referee) ; Houfek, Martin (advisor)
This master thesis deals with computing of mechanicals properties of parts of headlamps. Parts of headlamps are defined with two different material models, linear material model and material model from Moldflow method. The problem is solved by computational modeling with finite element method using Autodesk Moldflow Insight, Ansys 17.2 and Ansys 18.2 with included Moldsim tool. The outputs are calculations of mechanical properties and comparison of both material models.
Paul Hindemith and his Sonata for bassoon and piano
Šmíd, Jan ; SEIDL, Jiří (advisor) ; HUDEČEK, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the personality of composer Paul Hindemith and his Sonata for bassoon and piano. The opening chapter is concentrated on the life and merits of the composer. The next part concerns with the composition itself and also contains a formal analysis. Finally, there is a selection of compositions for woodwind instruments and an overview of Hindemith's sonatas.
Improving and extending the multiple sequence alignment suite PRALINE
Hudeček, Jan ; Petříčková, Zuzana (referee) ; Mráz, František (advisor)
The aim of this work is to study potential improvements in the core routines of multiple sequence alignment suite PRALINE. A general overview of multiple sequence alignment methods used with emphasis on representation of the alignment core is given. A new option for aligning sequence profiles was implemented and its usefulness assessed. This option allows a user to input a profile which is used in an advanced phase of the progressive protocol as if it was a result of the previous steps. Two new protocols using profile Hidden Markov models (HMM) and their alignment were implemented and tested. The HMMGUIDE protocol creates for each sequence a preprofile consisting of segments of other sequences with high local similarity. HMM is generated from each preprofile by HMMER, and alignment of every pair is scored by PRC. The protocol then progressively aligns the sequence whose HMMs achieved the best score. The PRCALIGN protocol works similarly but aligns the sequences according to the best alignment of the HMMs. While not all test alignments were finished successfully for both protocols, the results constitute a statistically significant improvement over the original PRALINE protocol.
Software for a Czech-Chinese and Chinese-Czech dictionary
Hudeček, Jan ; Straňák, Pavel (referee) ; Homola, Petr (advisor)
Czech-Chinese and Chinese-Czech dictionary is an electronic dictionary which can be used both by a beginner or a seasoned translator. It allows searching in both directions and a fulltext search for given expression. Data access is hybrid - the program checks if it can access the database - if it fails it reads the data files. Moreover users can change the data source at run-time. The program builds indexes on the data file speeding searches up considerably. Indexes can be hashtables or binary trees. Asynchronous multithreaded IO was implemented to enhance the comfort of the GUI. The .NET framework and MS SQL Server as a platform guarantees rapid development, deployment and scalability - for example adding a web application to the project would be quite easy. At the same time the design of the system allows for future improvements - for instance editing the dictionary from the GUI.

Equipment for punching profiles
Hudeček, Jan ; Dokoupil, Vladimír (referee) ; Omes, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the construction of punching device for punching continuously extruded plastic profile. This device is part of a larger production line. The theoretical part of this work will be focused in an introduction to plastic extrusion, cutting, molding properties and market research with punched plastic profiles. The practical part will deal with the product description, production line and the structural design of the entire machine itself including calculations. Part of this work are also drawing of selected parts and a 3D model.
