Pevnostní a modální analýza v parametrických adaptivních CAD programech

Time domain edge finite elements
Cigánek, Jan ; Motl, Milan (oponent) ; Raida, Zbyněk (vedoucí práce)
This paper presents hybrid (edge and nodal) finite elements in frequency and time domain. The method is used for the numerical analysis of a parallel-plate waveguide loaded by two dielectric obstacles. A perfectly matched layer (PML) is implemented as the output port of this parallel-plate waveguide. In the project, the PLM layer for the exploitation in the time domain is developed. The method is programmed in MATLAB and is compared with results produced by COMSOL Multiphysics.

Numerical modeling of crack propagation under conditions of LEFM
Mikula, Jakub ; Hutař, Pavel (oponent) ; Ševčík, Martin (vedoucí práce)
The presented bachelor’s thesis deals with numerical modeling of crack propagation in general planar body. A user macro was created in APDL programming language for estimation of crack propagation direction and collection of data. Macro allows selection one of the four criteria intended to estimate the direction of the crack and the subsequent listing of the data into a text document. The calculation is based on the finite element method (FEM) using a commercial system ANSYS. The conditions of linear elastic fracture mechanics (LEFM) are expected during the calculation. The first part of this thesis describes the basic concepts of LEFM, including a description of mentioned criteria. The second part is devoted to the created macro. It also describes the algorithm and the necessary conditions for correct processing of data. A comparison with available published data or with experimental data gives a summary of the accuracy and utilization of created macro. In conclusion, the example of estimation of the residual life by different criteria is shown, as its other application.

Finite element solution of the nonlinear 2DOFs dynamic system under random Gaussian excitation using the Fokker-Planck equation
Král, Radomil ; Náprstek, Jiří
Papers published until now are dealing with single degree of freedom (SDOF) systems. So the respective FP equation includes two independent space variables only (x1, x2). Nevertheless stepping over this limit and entering into a true multi-dimensionality a number of specific problems must be overcome. While in usual FEM practice the number of space variables is two or three, investigating FP equation, so 2n independent space variables emerges. It means for instance 12 space variables when random motion of a rigid body in space with six degrees of freedom is studied. Many requirements should be respected which are out of a conventional practice of Finite Element employment.
