Stress state aspects of quasi-brittle fracture
Sobek, Jakub ; Němeček,, Jiří (referee) ; Keršner, Zbyněk (referee) ; Klusák,, Jan (referee) ; Veselý, Václav (advisor)
The presented dissertation thesis is focused, as the title suggests, on the analysis of stress state aspects of quasi-brittle fracture. That means the fracture of composite materials with cement matrix (such as concrete, mortar, plaster, etc.), ceramics and other composites. Used methods are based on the theory of multi-parameter linear elastic fracture mechanics, which highlights the importance of considering of several initial terms of Williams power series, approximating the stress and displacement fields in a cracked body, within conducted fracture analyses. Determination of values of coefficients of terms of this series, recalculated into the shape functions serving in most of the conducted stress state analyses, is performed via the so called over-deterministic method. Another tool for the problem solving is nonlinear fracture mechanics, represented primarily by the cohesive crack model, namely the crack band model implemented in the used ATENA software. For the backward reconstruction of stress field in the cracked bodies the application ReFraPro is used. The analytical part deals with various aspects of wedge-splitting test – from the boundary conditions, though various possibilities of nodal selection (required as input variables for the over-deterministic method) up to the advanced (automated) analysis of numerical model. Special chapter includes atypical test specimens designed for adjusting of various levels of constraint of stress and deformation at the propagating crack tip. The study of this geometry and also the subsequent detail analysis reveals important information for real experiments. Backward reconstruction of stress field presents analysis on suitable possibilities of nodal selections as inputs into the procedure of approximation of the crack tip fields and answers the question of the necessity of application of the multi-parameter linear elastic fracture mechanics for certain fracture analyses of specimens from quasi-brittle materials. Evaluation of fracture test of selected core-drilled cylindrical specimen
Halfar, Petr ; Sobek, Jakub (referee) ; Keršner, Zbyněk (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with effective crack model for a cylinder specimen with an chevron-shaped notch, loaded by a three-point bending. The first part of the thesis is theoretical and the it describes the use of fracture mechanics for quasi-brittle materials – concrete and rocks. Furthermore there is described the linear elastic fracture mechanics and founding the geometry function for a different geometries of fracture tests. The second part describes the FEM program, which was used to calculate the fracture parameters, that were used to determine the length of the effective crack and how the program was tested before it was used. The last part describe calculations of fracture toughness by using the effective crack model on selected rock and concrete specimens.
Switches security risks
Halaška, Peter ; Novotný, Bohumil (referee) ; Sobek, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to study and subsequently process issues of securing switches operating at the data link layer of OSI/ISO model. Map individual switch attacks with their review. On the basis of this information realize chosen attacks with presented results.
Static analysis of bridge construction: Černý most in Hodonín
Okánik, Michal ; Kala, Jiří (referee) ; Sobek, Jakub (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with static analysis of the Black bridge in Hodonín city. The creation of the numerical model in ANSYS sw. is described according to the existing project documentation, followed by the application of loading and boundary conditions (including the solution of foundation soil placed on the piles). The selection of the loading is used according ČSN EN standards for analysis and verification of the main construction parts. This work also includes verification of the piles deformations calculated both in ANSYS sw. and by the direct stiffness method (MS Excel is used) and their comparison is done. Amongst other attachments, the verification of the load carrying capacity of the structure (respecting the current traffic limitation allowing only one vehicle to be on the bridge structure) is also provided.
Analysis of Cryptographic Algorithms 802.11
Vojtíšek, Jindřich ; Sobek, Jiří (referee) ; Novotný, Bohumil (advisor)
This work deals with wireless standard 802.11, primaly about security algorithms used in them. Further there is made analysis of algorithms WEP, WPA and WPA2. This algorithms are described how coding by them works and for easier understandig are added block schemes of their principles. In practical part is realized algorithms WEP, WPA and WPA2 in program Matlab simulink. Model is complemented by graphs which shows how data changes when comming throught this systems.
GNSS deformation measurement in the Sněžník Network
Sobek, Josef ; Weigel, Josef (referee) ; Švábenský, Otakar (advisor)
This thesis deals with a processing and evaluation of GNSS data measured during the years 2001 - 2012 in geodynamical network Sněžník. The aim of the thesis is a detection of possible horizontal and vertical displacements of points in this network. The thesis also deals with comparison of results determined by only GPS and both GPS and GLONASS measurements. Graphic interpretation of displacements’ evolution during the whole monitored period is one of the results of this thesis.
Advanced system for computer data back-up
Sobek, Jiří ; Šporik, Jan (referee) ; Vychodil, Petr (advisor)
This master thesis is mainly focused on the backup systems and describes each individual backup techniques in detail. Next main point of this thesis, is explaining functionality of IPv4 and FTP, which are closely related to the topic. Outcome is a backup application written in Java language, which is capable of backup files on FTP server or on local/ network storage area. Backup application also allows settings for automatic backup and restoring files from the storage area. Finally there was made a measurment, where were point out advantages and disadvantages of transfer mediums and where was practically shown a logic of creating the backup system. Goal was a creation of multiplatform backup application.
Switch optimization in converged network
Švec, Adam ; Sobek, Jiří (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
Switch Optimization in a Converged Network thesis discusses the role of the Ethernet switch in the network. It describes differences between the switch and the hub in the network and the impacts on the collision domain size. In the converged network, priority data switching according to their origin and thus the qualitative point of view is also addressed - e-mails, voice services and multimedia will each behave differently. A real element, switch L3 - a switch with services quality support - is mentioned. The tool Matlab - Simulink is briefly described and a functional simplified model of the ethernet switch was created. Furthermore, the topic was used as a theme for a laboratory task in the subject Services of Telecommunication Networks. A model for Simulink and an example of the laboratory protocol for the created task are attached to the thesis.
Prediction of data flow in computer networks
Zvěřina, Lukáš ; Sobek, Jiří (referee) ; Vychodil, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to study problems of prediction of data in computer networks. Furthermore, this work deals with network traffic and analyzing its properties. In this study were analyzed the possibilities of network traffic prediction using Farima model, the theory of chaos with Lyapunov exponents and neural networks. Possibilities of prediction with the focus on neural network were discussed in detail here, mainly on recurrent neural networks. Prediction was performed in Matlab development environment in Neural Network Toolbox, where they were created, trained and evaluated neural network to predict specific types of network traffic. For testing were selected Elman network NARX network and general LRN recurrent network. The results were clearly organized into tables and plotted in graphical relationships before and after the use of predictive techniques designed to final evaluation.
Software design for mapping of the network topology
Janura, Dominik ; Novotný, Bohumil (referee) ; Sobek, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis addresses the issues of network topology mapping, where the network consists of multiple Cisco devices. It includes theoretical knowledge in this field and closely describes possible solutions to this problem. It explains the process of design and implementation of this kind of network mapping software by chosen means. Correct function of the created application is tested on a virtual network.
