Zemědělské oblasti jižních Čech patří k regionům, kde umírněný postup industrializace vytvořil podmínky pro nepoměrně delší přežívání kontinuálních jevů tradiční kultury, než v regionech jiných. Ještě v sedmdesátých letech 20. století na jihočeských Blatech se udržel tradiční pohřební obřad, jehož rozměrnou část tvoří zpěvy nad otevřenou rakví zemřelého. The agricultural area of South Bohemia belongs to the regions where the steady advancement of industrialization created conditions for survival of continuous phenomenons of traditional culture, survival incomparably longer then in other regions. Up to the 1970s, in the region of Blata in South Bohemia had been kept a traditional funeral rite that in a great part contained of songs above the open coffin of the deceased.
