Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem Vsetínské Bečvy a místní identity. Je zpracována literární rešerše na téma identita, její typy a utváření. Dále zpracovává téma morfologie řek se zaměřením na štěrkonosné toky a obecnou funkci řek v současné krajině i městském prostoru. Ve spojené analytické a návrhové části je představena řeka Vsetínská Bečva, rozsah zájmového území a konkrétní charakteristické řešené úseky jejího toku. Jsou definovány hodnoty a problémy území. Dále je provedeno a vyhodnoceno dotazníkové šetření zabývající se současným vztahem místních obyvatel k vodnímu toku. Na základě všech provedených analýz jsou stanovena východiska pro navrhování a vyslovena doporučení pro posílení místní identity. Návrh zpracovává konkrétní řešení pro vybrané segmenty toku s důrazem na rozvoj přírodních hodnot a posílení vztahu mezi člověkem a řekou. Dále doporučuje další vývoj toku z hlediska územního plánování. V diskuzi jsou popsány přínosy práce a odpovězeny vyslovené otázky. The thesis explores the topic of Vsetín Bečva and the local identity. A literature research on the topic of identity, its types and formation is done. It also deals with the topic of river morphology with a focus on gravel flows and the general function of rivers in the contemporary landscape and urban space. The analytical and design part presents the Vsetínská Bečva river, the extent of the area of interest and specific characteristic sections of its watercourse. The values and problems of the area are defined. Furthermore, a questionnaire-based survey on the relationship of the local population to the watercourse is carried out and evaluated. Based on all the analyses carried out, a basis for design is established and recommendations are made for strengthening the local identity. The proposal elaborates specific solutions for selected segments of the river with an emphasis on the development of natural values and the strengthening of the relationship between people and the river. It also recommends further development of the stream from a land-use planning perspective. At the end, the discussion describes the contributions of the work and answers the issues raised.
