Diplomová práce analyzuje vybrané české protireformační texty vydané na konci 16. a v první polovině 17. století. Pozornost soustředí především na náboženské polemiky z pera katolických autorů, které byly namířeny proti jednotě bratrské nebo luterské reformaci. Půjde zejména o texty, jejichž autory byli Jakub Horčický z Tepence, Jindřich Ondřej Hoffman a Georg Scherer, jehož díla překládal především Václav Brosius. Stranou pozornosti nezůstanou ani homiletické tisky, které měly apologetický podtext nebo se snažily ovlivnit veřejné mínění. Spolu s polemickou rolí těchto textů, které si již povšimlo starší bádání, se student zaměří na komunikaci jednotlivých textů mezi sebou navzájem pomocí odkazů nebo identických argumentů. Zmíněné texty se pokusí vnímat jako specifický typ média, které mělo nejen polemizovat s oponenty, ale také přesvědčit váhající a utvrdit souvěrce. Kvalifikační spis si rovněž povšimne symbolické řeči studovaných textů v komunikaci mezi duchovními a jejich posluchači nebo čtenáři. The thesis will analyze Czech Counter-Reformation texts published at the end of the 16th and the first half of the 17th century. The student will focus primarily on religious polemics of Catholic authors directed against the Unitas Fratrum or Lutherans. The primary texts will include works by Georg Scherer in the translation of Václav Brosius, Jakub Horčický of Tepence, and Jindřich Ondřej Hoffman. Homiletic prints with an apologetic undertone or those aiming to influence public opinion will not be neglected either. In addition to the polemical role of these texts, which has already been noted by earlier research, the student will focus on the communication between the texts themselves through references or identical arguments. The mentioned texts will be perceived as a specific type of media intended not only to polemicize with opponents but also to persuade the hesitant or to reinforce the faithful. The thesis will also take note of the symbolic language of the studied texts in the communication between the clergy and their listeners or readers.
