Tato práce shrnuje informace o radioaktivitě, přírodních zdrojích a radonu. Také se zabývá zdravotními komplikacemi spojených s radonem, zdroji a způsoby, jakými proniká do budov a radonovým programem, ve kterém jsou shrnuta protiradonová opatření. Tato opatření mají za cíl ochránit obyvatelstvo před expozicí radonu účinnými úpravami budov. Cílem předložené bakalářské práce je zjistit míru informovanosti obyvatelstva Jihočeského kraje o radonu a porovnat informovanost obyvatelstva v Jihočeském kraji o radonu ve věkových kategoriích do 40 let a nad 40 let. K dosažení tohoto cíle byl použit dotazníkový průzkum. V tomto průzkumu bylo zjištěno, nakolik jsou obyvatelé Jihočeského kraje obeznámeni s tématem radon. V průměru lidé odpověděli správně v 68 %. Ve výzkumné části jsou shrnuty výsledky dotazníkového šetření pomocí grafů. Tyto výsledky jsou dále zpracovány za použití statistických metod. Díky těmto metodám byly potvrzeny obě dané hypotézy. První hypotéza zkoumala, zda informovanost obyvatelstva Jihočeského kraje o radonu bude dosahovat alespoň 70 %, což bylo potvrzeno pomocí jednovýběrového t-testu. Druhá hypotéza se týkala porovnávání znalostí obyvatelstva Jihočeského kraje o radonu. Zkoumalo se, zda bude informovanost obyvatelstva ve věkové kategorii nad 40 let statisticky významně vyšší než informovanost obyvatelstva ve věkové kategorii do 40 let. Hypotéza byla potvrzena za použití dvojvýběrového t-testu. This work summarizes information about radioactivity, natural sources, and radon. It also addresses health complications associated with radon, sources and ways it penetrates buildings. Furthermore, it discusses the radon program, which outlines anti-radon measures aimed at protecting the population from radon exposure through effective building modifications. The aim of the presented bachelor thesis is to determine the level of awareness among the population of the South Bohemian Region about radon. It compares the awareness of the population in the South Bohemian Region about radon in the age category up to 40 years and in the age category over 40 years. A questionnaire survey was used to achieve this goal. This survey determined the extent to which residents of the South Bohemian Region are familiar with the topic of radon. On average, people answered correctly 68 % of the time. The research section summarizes the results of the questionnaire survey using graphs. These results are further processed using statistical methods. Thanks to these methods, both hypotheses were confirmed. The first hypothesis examined whether the awareness of the population of the South Bohemian Region about radon would reach at least 70 %, which was confirmed using a one-sample t-test. The second hypothesis concerned comparing the knowledge of the population of the South Bohemian Region about radon. It was investigated whether the awareness of the population in the age category over 40 years would be statistically significantly higher than the awareness of the population in the age category up to 40 years. The hypothesis was confirmed using a two-sample t-test.
