Abstract: This thesis was focused on imprinted genes of rodents. Mouse imprinted genes and their characteristics, which have been previously identified, were used as a template for this research. The aim was to bioinformatically predict germline differentially methylated regions and associated imprinted genes of rat and naked mole-rat, experimentally confirm these results and compare identified potentially imprinted genes in these species with imprinted genes in mice.
