Disertační práce se zabývá vlivem interaktivních výukových animací na motivaci a studijní výsledky žáků. V současné době je motivace žáků ve výuce velmi diskutované téma (Ikwuka et al., 2017). Autoři mnoha studií stejně jako tvůrci národních kurikul prohlašují, že je nutné zaměřit se na přechod od tradičních metod výuky (např. frontální výuka) k metodám aktivizujícím žáky. Zároveň v současné době sledujeme nízkou oblibu přírodovědných předmětů mezi žáky základních a středních škol (Szarka et al., 2014). Tudíž je vhodné přicházet s metodami, které jednak vytvoří interaktivní prostředí, ve kterém mohou žáci rozvíjet své znalosti, dovednosti a kompetence, a jednak žáky zaujmout a motivovat k další práci. Proto je hlavním cílem disertační práce zjistit, jak působí animace na motivaci a studijní výsledky žáků středních škol (konkr. v přírodovědných předmětech). Didaktickým prostředkem, který by tyto skutečnosti mohl pomoci naplnit, je výuková animace. Většina autorů, kteří se věnují problematice výukových animací, se shodují na pozitivním přínosu jejich využití v hodinách v mnoha ohledech, nicméně výzkumů, které se zabývaly či zabývají ovlivnění motivace žáků je prozatím nedostatek (Stith, 2004; Barak et al. 2011; Szarka et al., 2016). Výukové animace používané ve výzkumu, který je součástí této... The dissertation deals with the influence of interactive educational animations on the motivation and academic achievements of pupils. Currently, student motivation in teaching is a much discussed topic (Ikwuka et al., 2017). The authors of many studies, as well as the creators of national curricula, declare that it is necessary to focus on the transition from traditional teaching methods (eg. frontal teaching) to methods that activate pupils. At the same time, we are currently observing the low popularity of science subjects among primary and secondary school pupils (Szarka et al., 2014). Therefore, it is advisable to come up with methods that, on the one hand, create an interactive environment in which students can develop their knowledge, skills and competences, and on the other hand, interest and motivate students to further work. Thus, the main goal of the dissertation is to find out how animation affects the motivation and academic results of secondary school students (especially in science subjects). A didactic tool that could help fulfill these facts is educational animation.
