Práce se bude zabývat 18 lety fungování Globální strategie pro dosažení vyváženého, representativního a věrohodného Seznamu světového dědictví (Global Strategy for Representativ, Balanced and Credible World Heritage List), která má zajistit zachování rozmanitosti statků zapsaných na Seznam světového dědictví. Po 22 letech od podepsání Úmluvy o ochraně světového kulturního a přírodního dědictví bylo poukázáno organizací ICOMOS na přezastoupenost statků kulturního dědictví na úkor statků přírodních a smíšených, také bylo poukázáno na přezastoupenost statků v rozvinutých státech na úkor rozvojových zemí. Globální strategie se snaží o větší rozmanitost Seznamu tak, aby na něm byly ve vyváženém měřítku zastoupeny všechny statky z celého světa. Výsledkem práce bude zhodnocení, jak se Globální strategii daří aplikovat, kam se za 18 let působení posunula a zda celkově plní účel, se kterým byla přijímána. Twenty-two years after the signing of Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, ICOMOS organization pointed to over-representation of cultural properties and underrepresentation of natural and mixed sites as well as over-representation of properties in developed regions and underrepresentation of those in developing world. Main aim of Global Strategy is to balance these cases and also work on credibility and representation of the World Heritage Convention. Outcome of this work will be an evaluation of application of Global Strategy, its shift during 18 years of its existence and an evaluation of effectiveness and usefulness of it.
