Kouření je rizikový faktor ve vztahu ke zdraví a negativní účinky kouření na zdraví jsou již velmi dobře známy. Přesto je prevalence kouření stále poměrně vysoká a kouření tak způsobuje mnoho úmrtí na různé nemoci spojené s užíváním tabáku. Těmto úmrtím by bylo možné předejít účinnou prevencí. Sledování užívání tabáku je pro účinnou prevenci klíčové. Proto se sledováním užívání tabáku zabývají různé mezinárodní i národní studie a jejich výsledky se často liší. V této práci porovnávám dostupné zdroje dat o kouření, které jsou realizovány v České republice za posledních téměř třicet let. V práci je analyzováno celkem šest opakovaných průřezových studií. Pro porovnání studií mezi sebou i ohledně vývoje v čase byla vypočítána standardizovaná míra prevalence kouření u všech analyzovaných studií. Pro podrobnější porovnání byla využita binární logistická regrese. Dále byly zjišťovány rozdíly v sociálních nerovnostech hodnocených na základě vzdělání mezi analyzovanými studiemi. Mezi analyzovanými studiemi byly v prevalenci kouření nalezeny statisticky významné rozdíly. Dále byl také v jednotlivých studiích nalezen různý směr trendu vývoje prevalence kouření. Klesající trend pro obě pohlaví byl nalezen pouze u studie HIS/EHIS. Rozdíly mezi studiemi byly nalezeny i v prevalenci kouření podle vzdělání. Ve... Smoking is a risk factor in relation to health and the negative effects on health are already well known. Despite that, the prevalence of smoking is still relatively high, and smoking causes many deaths from various diseases associated with tobacco use. These deaths could be prevented by effective prevention. Monitoring tobacco use is key for effective prevention. Therefore, various international and national studies monitor tobacco use and their results often differ. In this work I compare available sources of data on smoking, which are implemented in the Czech Republic over the last almost thirty years. In this thesis, six repeated cross-sectional studies were analyzed. In order to compare studies with each other and the change over time, age-standardized prevalence of smoking was calculated for all studies analyzed. Binary logistic regression was used for more detailed comparisons. Furthermore, differences in social inequalities assessed based on education between the analyzed studies were identified. Statistically significant differences in the prevalence of smoking were found between the analyzed studies.
