Abstract: This article deals with the problems arising in the electrical measurement of various dielectricmaterials used in power engineering. The article presents the basic quantities and theirmeasurement principles. It focuses mainly on parameters measurable in non-destructive measurements, such as volume resistivity, relative permittivity, and dissipation factor. The article draws attentionto the problems that may arise during the measurement and thus guides the reader on howto measure these parameters correctly. These problems and findings were gathered during severaldifferent measurements with different types of dielectrics.
