Abstract: The diploma thesis focuses on the revitalization of the square Jiří z Poděbrad in Prague, dominated by the Church of the Sacred Heart of the Lord by architect Josip Plečnik. The thesis is systematically divided into theoretical, analytical and design part. The theoretical part consists of a literary overview, which is focused on life and work of the Slovenian architect Josip Plečnik. Subsequently, the recent condition of the squares formed in the first half of the 20th century on the Czech territory is briefly described. The analytical part is devoted to the results of thorough analyzes of territory, from which our own architectural study is based. The analytical and design part is accompanied by graphic schemes, situations, cross-sections and visualizations. The revitalization seeks to create a contemporary solution that will be a representative, functional and attractive living space.
