Přes již rozsáhlé použití WST doposud nebyla provedena podrobná analýza vlivu okrajových podmínek WST, zahrnující koncentrátor napětí (pravoúhlý V-vrub) tvořený drážkou pro vložení čelistí rozevírajících těleso, na pole napětí v okolí kořene šířící se trhliny. Cílem příspěvku je za použití metody konečných prvků (MKP) analyzovat uvedený vliv. Poznamenejme, že příspěvek uceluje analýzu šíření trhliny ve vzorcích pro WST, a tedy navazuje na předchozí práce spoluautorů, ve kterých postupně numericky analyzovali jednotlivé možné okrajové podmínky. Wedge splitting test (WST) presents a useful experimental test for the determination of fracture parameters for civil materials e.g. cement based composites. In this paper cube-shaped WST specimens are studied in framework of linear elastics fracture mechanics. The main aim of the presented contribution is focused at the influence of the groove corner (an additional singular stress concentrator to the initial crack) in the load-imposing area of the specimen on the stress field around the crack tip (the principal stress concentrator)
