Cílem bakalářské práce byla obnova a přestavba budovy bývalého Nejvyššího státního zastupitelství na prostory pro Ateliér scénografie Janáčkovy akademie múzických umění a pro Rektorát Janáčkovy akademie. Budova se nachází na nároží frekventovaných ulic Jánská, Kobližná a Pohořelec, kde vytváří poněkud nevýrazný ukončující bod těchto ulic. Objekt byl postaven v období po druhé světové válce a nese znaky pozdního funkcionalismu. Budova je od devadesátých let nepoužívaná a v současné době chátrá. Parter objektu sloužil komerci, podzemní podlaží technickým zařízením objektu a ostatní podlaží čistě administrativě. Budova má jedno podzemní podlaží a sedm nadzemních podlaží. V parteru budovy byla navržena veřejná kavárna a výstavní prostory. V druhém až čtvrtém nadzemním podlaží jsou administrativní prostory pro Rektorát Janáčkovy akademie. V pátém až sedmém nadzemním podlaží a v podzemním podlaží jsou prostory pro studenty Ateliéru scénografie. Prostory čítají místa pro ateliéry, učebny, posluchárny a dílny. V nástavbě osmého podlaží se nachází zázemí pro světelný design. Náplní práce bylo objektu vrátit život a vytvořit funkční a esteticky přívětivé prostředí pro studenty, zaměstnance a návštěvníky. To bylo docíleno obměnou vnitřní dispozice, kde byly odebrány některé dělící konstrukce, včetně vertikálního propojení podlaží a použitím prosklených příček. Dispozice je nyní otevřenější, prosvětlenější a vzdušnější. Výrazným prvkem přestavby je nástavba dalšího podlaží, díky čemuž se zvětšil prostor pro studenty a zaměstnance, a potvrdila se nejasná vertikalita objektu. Celá nástavba působí dominantnějším dojmem, ale s přirozeným respektem vůči okolním budovám. Fasáda nástavby je tvořena předsazenými elektroluminescenčními panely s holografickou fólií. Tato fólie vytváří duhové efekty na fasádě a působí odrazivě, čímž se hmota odlehčuje. V noci díky elektroluminescenčním drátům v souvrství panelu nástavba svítí a upozorňuje na dění uvnitř budovy.
The aim of the Bachelor thesis was to renew and rebuild the building of the former Supreme state prosecutor to the place for The Stage design of Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno and The Rectorate od Janáček Academy. The building is located on the corner of the busy streets Jánská, Kobližná and Pohořelec where it forms a rather drab end point of these streets. The object was built in the post World war II period and carries features of late functionalism. The building has been abandoned since 90s. The ground floor was used for commerce, the underground floor for technical equipment of the building and other upper floors were purely administrative. The building has one underground floor and seven above-ground floors. In the ground floor were designed a public café and exhibition spaces. On the second to the fourth floor there are administrative places for the Janáček Academy Rectorate. On the fifth to the seventh floor the are spaces for students of the Stage design. In the new eight floor there is a background for the Light design. The main focus of the work was to restore life and create a functional and aestetically friendly environment. This was achieved by changing the internal layout where some dividing structures were removed, including the vertical connections of the floors and finally the use of glass partitions.The layout is now more open, lighter and airy. A main element of the reconstruction is the extension of the next floor, which has increased the space for students and employees and confirmed the unclear verticality of the building. The entire extension has more dominant look, but with natural respect to the surrounding buildings. The superstructure fasade consists of pre-installed electroluminescent panels with a holographic foil. This foil produces rainbow effects on the facade and reflects light, relieving the mass.
