Je stručně popsána historie vývoje vědeckých přístrojů pro výzkum ionosféry a magnetosféry Země v Geofyzikálním ústavu a Ústavu fyziky atmosféry AVČR od konce 50. let 20. století po současnost. Je uveden přehled přístrojů vyvinutých v rámci programu Interkosmos a navazujících vědeckých projektů. Podrobně jsou popsány družice MAGION 1 až MAGION 5 a jejich přístrojové vybavení. The brief history of development of scientific instruments for ionospheric and magnetospheric research in the Geophysical Institute and Institute of Atmospheric Physics is descibed scaning period since end of fifties to present. List of instruments developed in frame of the Intercosmos program and followed project is presented. MAGION satellites and their payload are described in detail.
