Tato práce se zabývá vznikem a rozvojem internetových televizí v Česku, jejich obchodními modely, možnostmi dalšího vývoje a vlivem na lineární televize. Protože pro televizní produkci je význačná seriálová tvorba, popisuje také revoluci v televizním průmyslu na přelomu tisíciletí, která změnila do té doby platná pravidla pro psaní a natáčení seriálů. Práce představuje také všechny seriály českých internetových televizí a porovnává jejich žánry s preferencemi publika. K tomuto porovnání využívá jak výstupy z hloubkových rozhovorů s respondenty z řad diváků internetových televizí, tak data o sledovanosti nejsledovanějších televizních pořadů. Hloubkové rozhovory zjišťovaly kromě toho, co diváci na internetových televizích sledují, také, kdy a jak (na jakém zařízení) to sledují, což bylo podpořeno detailními statistikami Netflixu, coby největší internetové televize na světě. Respondentům byly také promítnuty celkem tři seriály českých internetových televizí, které respondenti měli subjektivně ohodnotit. S jejich výpověďmi poté bylo pracováno směrem k fenoménu tzv. binge-watchingu a bylo zjištěno, že zveřejňování všech epizod jedné série jakéhokoli seriálu najednou by mohlo přispět k jeho celkové sledovanosti. Dále je na základě hloubkových rozhovorů navrženo konkrétní využití nové formy product... The thesis deals with the development of internet TVs in the Czechia, their business models, possibilities of further development and thein impact on linear television. Since TV production is distinguished by serial production, it also describes the revolution in the television industry at the turn of the millennium, which changed the rules of writing and filming TV series so far. The thesis also presents all series of Czech internet TVs and compares their genres with audience preferences. For this comparison, the thesis uses both in-depth interviews with internet TV audience respondents and data on the most watched TV shows. In addition to what the viewers on the internet watch, the in-depth interviews also found out when and how (on what device) they watch it, supported by detailed Netflix (the largest internet TV in the Word) statistics. Respondents also watched episodes of three series of Czech internet TVs, which they then subjectively evaluated. Based on their testimonies, it was found that posting all the episodes of one season of any series at once could contribute to its overall viewership (due to binge- watching).
