(česky) Autor se v této práci zabývá tématem Obecní kronikářství na Kolínsku do roku 1948 na příkladu obce Bečváry (ve srovnání s obcí Ratboř). Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, část obecnou a část výzkumnou. Obecná část obsahuje 5 kapitol, část výzkumná 8 kapitol. Po předmluvě a úvodu popisuje autor dostupné prameny a literaturu. V rámci literatury nebyl opomenut výklad o relevantních dosavadních zpracování tématu obecního kronikářství. Kapitola třetí se zabývá obecními kronikami jako historickým pramenem. Kapitola čtvrtá obsahuje výklad o vývoji právní úpravy obecních kronik, přičemž byl kladen důraz na období od počátku 20. let 20. století. Kapitola pátá obsahuje výklad o dějinách obce Bečváry do roku 1923. Samotný výklad je pak rozdělen do několika podkapitol, kdy jsou odděleně popsány dějiny obcí Malé a Velké Bečváry. Samostatná podkapitola se zabývá obcí Bečváry v kontextu vývoje okresu Kolín. Zvláštní část byla potom věnována dějinám Bečvár v období předcházejícím vzniku obecní kroniky, tedy období mezi lety 1899-1923. Část výzkumná obsahuje kapitoly zabývající se samotnou Pamětní knihou obce Bečváry. Příslušné pasáže se věnují jednotlivým kronikářům, stavu obce na počátku zkoumaného období. Následně je provedena vnější a vnitřní kritika Pamětní knihy obce Bečváry jako historického pramene. V... (in English): The author deals with the theme of the Municipal Chronicle writing in Kolín district until 1948 on the example of the village of Bečváry (compared to the village of Ratboř). The thesis is divided into two parts - general part and exploratory part. The general part contains 5 chapters, an exploratory part contains 8 chapters. After the Preface and Introduction, the author describes available archival sources and literature. As far as the literature is concerned, the interpretation of the relevant previous works on the topic of the municipal chronicle writing was added. Chapter Three deals with municipal chronicles as a historical source. Chapter Four contains an explanation of the development of the legislation of the municipal chronicles, with an emphasis on the period from the early 20th century. The fifth chapter contains an explanation of the history of Bečváry village until 1923. The interpretation itself is divided into several subchapters, which separately describe the history of the villages of Malé and Velké Bečváry. A separate subchapter deals with the problem of village Bečváry in the context of the development of the Kolín district.
