Práce se věnuje domestikaci chytrých telefonů u mladé populace v České republice. Poskytuje teoretický a empirický pohled na to, jak si účastníci výzkumu, mladí Češi, osvojili chytré telefony a jakým způsobem je zařadili do své běžné denní rutiny. Pomocí smíšeného výzkumu nabízí vhled to toho, jaké aplikace v telefonu používají, jak dlouho, jak intenzivně na nich tráví čas a jakou roli hrají chytré telefony v jejich každodenním životě. Výzkum se skládá ze tří fází. V první fázi byla od uživatelů sbírána tvrdá log data prostřednictvím aplikace nainstalované v jejich mobilním telefonu. Druhá fáze spočívala v zmapování subjektivního vnímání míry a frekvence aktivity uživatelů skrz strukturovaný dotazník. V poslední fázi proběhl skupinový rozhovor se všemi účastníky výzkumu za účelem diskuze nad výsledky prvních dvou fází a rozvedení otázek spojených s nadměrným používáním chytrých telefonů. Výzkum ukázal, že účastníci trávili na mobilních telefonech v průměru tři hodiny denně, kontrolovali ho častěji než každou půlhodinu a nejčastěji používanými aplikacemi byly sociální sítě. Komunikace přes aplikace pro instant messaging je pro ně přirozenou součástí života. Čas na mobilním telefonu trávili převážně ve škole. Výzkum neukázal závislost participantů výzkumu na chytrých telefonech, nicméně poukázal na... This paper applies to domestication of smartphones among young population in Czech Republic. It provides theoretical and empirical perspective at how research participants adopted their smartphones and how they incorporated them into their daily routine. Using mixed method study this paper offers insight into which applications are participants using, how long, how intensively they spent time with smartphones and which part play smartphones in their daily life. Study is consists of three phases. First phase was based on log data collection by participants via application installed on their smartphones. Second phase was mapping subjective perception of measure and frequency of users activity via structured questionnaire. In the last phase all participants met for group interview to talk about results from the first and second phase and to expand topics realated to excessive smartphone activity. The study shows participants were spending three hours a day on their smartphones, they have check it more than every thirty minutes and the most used applications were social media.
