Sborník přináši příspěvky z mezinárodní konference, jejímž účelem bylo připomenout významnou osobnost českého vědeckého, filosofického a společenského života 1. pol. minulého století. Sborník je koncipován tak, aby připomenul Rádlovu osobnost v celé šíři jejího působení, tzn. na poli biologie a dějin vědeckého myšlení, v oblasti české filosofie a politického myšlení a též jeho aktivity v prostředí ekumenicko-křesťanském. Publication contains contributions from the international conference, the aim of the conference was to commemorate Rádl, a personality who is so tightly bound to Czechoslovak science, philosophy and society in the first half of the 20th century. The publication in conceived in such a way as to cover Rádl's activities to the greates possible extent, i.e. his activities in biology and the history of scientific thought, in Czech philosophy and political thought and in the Christian (escpecially protestant) community.
