- Pedagogové ve službách trůnu. Privátní učitelé následníků trůnu Rakousko- Uherska Během dlouhé vlády Františka Josefa I. vyrůstali jeho možní následníci. Dva z nich, císařův syn a korunní princ Rudolf a synovec František Ferdinand, ale kvůli své tragické smrti na trůn nikdy neusedli. Prasynovec Františka Josefa I., arcivévoda Karel František Josef, se vlády ujal ve vypjaté situaci během první světové války jako císař Karel I. Pro potenciálního nástupce bylo kromě vojenské výchovy důležité vzdělání v jazycích a předmětech, které měl vládce územně rozlehlého a národnostně rozrůzněného státu ovládat: v historii, právu, ekonomii atd. Práce sleduje životní osudy učitelů, kteří docházeli na dvůr císařské a arcivévodské rodiny. Popisuje, jak vnímali své vznešené svěřence a jaké výhody, ale i těžkosti jim tato "dvorská služba" přinášela. - Educators in the Service of the Throne. Private Teachers of the Austrian- Hungarian Imperial Heirs Several potential successors were growing up during the lengthy reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I. But two of them, the Emperor's own son Crown Prince Rudolph and his nephew Franz Ferdinand, could never ascend to the throne due to their premature deaths. His grandnephew, Archduke Charles Franz Joseph, claimed the throne in the tense times of the First World War. For a would-be successor, not only military education was essential, but also language skills and such subjects as history, law and economy that the future ruler of a vast and ethnically diverse state was expected to have a good command of. This paper focuses on the lives of teachers who attended both the Emperor's and the Archduke's courts.
