Tato práce se zabývá formami židovské identity na příkladu šesti výtvarných umělců a umělkyň, kteří v období Výmarské republiky působili na dvou berlínských uměleckých školách. V úvodní kapitole je stručně charakterizován vývoj německých židovských dějin od poloviny 18. století po období Výmarské republiky. Následující dvě kapitoly jsou věnovány rodinnému zázemí umělců a postavení žen-umělkyň. Další kapitola pojednává o uměleckých školách, jejich vzniku, organizaci a vlivu, který na umělce mohly mít. Závěrečná část se zaměřuje na reflexi židovství v tvorbě umělců, analyzuje jednotlivá díla, srovnává je a klade si za cíl postihnout, jakým způsobem se umělci stavěli ke svému židovství, a to v širším společenském kontextu. Pramennou základnu tvoří samotná obrazová tvorba umělců, v některých případech jejich literární tvorba, memoárová literatura a korespondence. Klíčová slova: Židé, židovství,Výmarská republika, umění, umělecké školy The thesis deals with the forms of Jewish identity using the example of six visual artists at the Art Schools in Berlin during the Weimar Republic. The first chapter briefly describes the development of German Jewish history from the half of the 18th century until the Weimar Republic. The following two chapters focuse on the family background of the artists and on the position of female artists. The next chapter deals with the Art Schools, with their founding, organisation and their possible influence on the artists. The final part focuses on the reflection of Jewishness in the artists' artwork as well as on the particular works of art which are analysed and compared. The aim of this part is to describe the attitudes of the artists to the Jewishness in a broader social context. The primary sources consist of artists works of art, their literary works, memoirs and correspondence. Key words: Jews, Jewishness, the Weimar Republic, Art, Art Schools
