Abstract: Temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD) are defined as a collective term embracing clinical problems that involve the masticatory musculature, the temporomandibular joint and associate stuctures. These disorders are primarily characterized by pain, joint sounds, and irregular or limited function. Other common complaints are headache, jaw-ache, ear-ache, facial pain or tinnitus [Chyba!
