Tato práce se zabývá energetickým dialogem mezi Evropskou unií a Ukrajinou a hodnotí roli energetických zájmů EU na Ukrajině v integraci Ukrajiny do EU. Ukrajina je klíčovou tranzitní zemí pro ruský plyn směřující do západní Evropy a má moc ovlivňovat průběh transportu. Plynové krize mezi Ukrajinou a Ruskem v letech 2006 a 2009 zvýšily zájem EU na potenciálu Ukrajiny jako tranzitní země. V rámci prohlubování energetické spolupráce má EU v posledních letech zájem i na modernizaci ukrajinské přepravní infrastruktury. This work deals with the energy dialogue between the European Union and Ukraine and assesses the role of EU's energy interests in Ukraine in Ukraine's integration into the EU. Ukraine is a key transit country for Russian gas to the Western Europe and has the power to influence its transport. The gas crisis between Ukraine and Russia in 2006 and 2009 increased EU's interest in the potential of Ukraine as a transit country. Lately, in the context of deepening energy cooperation, EU has also interest in the modernization of the Ukraine's transport infrastructure.
