Práce se nejprve zabývá pojmem konkurenceschopnost. Snaží se o definování tohoto ukazatele a o poukázání na možné způsoby měření. V této souvislosti jsou představeny dvě nejvýznamnější instituce, Světové ekonomické fórum a Mezinárodní ústav pro rozvoj managementu. Dále se snaží zhodnotit vývoj konkurenceschopnosti České republiky za poslední tři roky. Závěrem tato práce komparuje ČR s Belgií z pohledu mezinárodní konkurenceschopnosti. The thesis deals with the concept of competitiveness. It attempts to define this indicator and highlight the possible ways of its measuring. In this context, the two most important institutions, the World Economic Forum and the International Institute for Management Development are presented. Furthermore, it tries to evaluate the development of competitiveness of the Czech Republic within the last three years. Finally, this work compares the CR with Belgium from the perspective of international competitiveness.
