Abstract: The study was focused on biology and diversity of Cryptosporidium infecting tortoise from family Testudines. Presence of Cryptosporidium oocyst and specific DNA in faecal samples was screened by microscopy and molecular tools. Infection intensity and oocyst morphology was described in both naturally and experimentally infected hosts.
