Bakalářská práce se zabývá přímou volbou prezidenta v České republice a Spojených státech amerických. Předmětem práce je komparace volebních systémů pro prezidentské volby a komparace kompetencí vyplývajících z těchto voleb. První část práce zahrnuje popis volebních systémů, postavení prezidentů v jednotlivých politických režimech a následně samotnou deskripci politických systémů. Ve druhé části práce je pozornost věnována komparaci způsobu volby prezidenta a jeho kompetencím. Cílem bakalářské práce je porovnání ústavních institucí prezidentů v České republice a Spojených státech amerických. The bachelor thesis deals with the direct election of the president in the Czech Republic and the United States. Subject of the thesis is the comparison of electoral systems for the presidential election and the comparison of competences resulting from these elections. The first part of the thesis includes a description of the electoral systems, position of the president in the various political systems and the subsequent description of political systems. In the second part of thesis, attention is paid to the comparison of the method of electing the president and his competencies. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to compare the constitutional institutions - presidents in the Czech Republic and the United States.
