Metodika popisuje opatření na ochranu vod před znečištěním dusičnany ze zemědělských zdrojů ve zranitelných oblastech České republiky. V metodice jsou přehledně popsány jednotlivé požadavky 3. akčního programu nitrátové směrnice pro období 2012 – 2016 a pravidla hospodaření, s cílem omezit ztráty dusíku vyplavením do povrchových a podzemních vod. Součástí publikace je i vysvětlení používaných termínů a odkazy na vybrané odborné publikace. The methodology describes measures for protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources in vulnerable zones of the Czech Republic. The methodology clearly describes individual requirements of the 3rd Action Programme of the Nitrates Directive for the period 2012 - 2016 and management rules for reduction of nitrogen losses by leaching into surface water and groundwater. Explanation of the terms used and links to selected professional publications are supplied.
