V roce 1994 publikovali R.G. Gillies a C.A. Shook model pro předpověď koncentračních profilů v tlakovém proudění heterogenních směsí. Tento model dosud nebyl v literatuře validován. V příspěvku je model analyzován a porovnán s vlastními koncentračními profily naměřenými radiometrickým zařízením představeným na loňském sympoziu. Výsledky ukazují, že klíčové parametry modelu jsou v původní publikaci poněkud vágně zadány a jejich použití v modelu je problematické. Model by měl projít validací na reprezentativním souboru experimentálně určených koncentračních profilů, na jejichž základě by zadání klíčových parametrů mohlo být blíže specifikováno. In 1994, R.G. Gillies and C.A. Shook published their predictive model for concentration profiles in pipe flows of heterogeneous settling slurries. The model has not been validated in the literature yet. In this paper, the model is analysed and compared with own concentration profiles measured using a radiometic device presented at the last Symposium on Anemometry. The results show that key parameters of the model are insufficiently evaluated and their use in the model rather unclear. The model should be validated using a representative database of experimentally determined concentration profiles. On this base, the key parameters in the model should be specified in more details.
