Fieldwork of a Nurse in Our Territory in the 20th Century (before 1989).
ŘÍHOVÁ, Martina
The title of the bachelor thesis is Fieldwork of a Nurse in Our Territory in the 20th Century (before 1989). Fieldwork of a nurse has undergone substantial changes through its development. It was affected by numerous factors of those times. Nurses had to try to adapt to the factors as much as possible to be able to provide the necessary care. The aim of the thesis was to map nurses' fieldwork and to provide a complex outline of what the nurses' fieldwork looked like in the last (i.e. the 20th) century with regard to the social context of that time. The method of detailed literature search was applied to the thesis. The work captures how nurses performed the fieldwork from 1901 to 1989. The period was divided into individual time sections based on historical landmarks. Numerous sources had to be searched and studied to compile the thesis. After studying available sources a complex of information divided into the individual periods was prepared. Information showing the given period, like political and social aspects was added. A research question was set at the beginning: What did the fieldwork of a nurse look like in our territory in the 20th Century (before 1989)? A chapter mapping the fieldwork of a nurse before 1901 was added to provide more complex view of the issue. The fieldwork of nurses was not much developed in the early 20th century. It was mainly provided by nuns and a small part of trained nurses. The home nursing care mainly developed in the 1920s and 1030s. Counselling centres were founded and nursing care in families introduced in the 1920s. Nurses not only provided special care but often also took care about patients' households. The activities of counselling centres proved useful and were gradually extended. Nurses' fieldwork continued even in the time of occupation of our territory. Extra contributions for extension of these services were even allotted in 1940. Nurses ensured the basic needs, sometimes households, they cared about hygiene and instructed patients on treatment regimen. They organized various courses. During fights in our territory nurses provided the necessary care to both soldiers and civilians. Often directly on the front line and in air raid shelters. The visiting nursing care was abolished and counselling centres integrated to national health institutions in the post-war period. The visiting nursing care was organized within districts. Within their visits the nurses provided specialist practices, education and examination of patient's condition. Non-specialized practices were usually provided by employees of newly established home nursing services. Nurses were responsible not only for visits of patients but also for hygienic inspections and provision of first aid. Dispensary care and the function of company or school nurses was also newly established. The fieldwork of nurses was substantially deepened in the 1970s. So called half-district jobs were established, specialized in patients with chronic diseases and elderly people. Nurses working in this service were only allotted to visiting nursing care. The care about seniors and people with chronic diseases was extended in the 1980s. Home care service was also growing. Geriatric nurses visited all citizens older than 65 years twice a year. Home care agencies provide field care in our territory nowadays. The provided care is multidisciplinary and cooperation client agency is very important. The advantage of home care agencies is in lower costs compared to inpatient facilities. This care is only provided to people with health problems nowadays, so big proportion of clients consists of geriatric patients. The home care however has various spectre of clients. The fieldwork of nurses has always been a very demanding but also attractive job. The higher demands for nurses was balanced their higher independence. The care as well as the job description have substantially changed through the years.

Identification and risk assesment in nurcing care
LUDÁNYIOVÁ, Sabina
Theoretical base: Safety of the Healthcare personnel is one of the key aspects in the good and safe care of patients. There are many risks threatening nurses while doing their daily job. It's necessary to perform a detailed identification, analysis and assessment of these risks. These processes lead to improved work life of general nurses and clients' stay in the healthcare facility. Important s of the theoretical part are chapters concerning the accreditation and certification of the healthcare facilities helping to achieve safe environment. Objective: The objective of this study is to identify risks for nurses while performing their medical profession, to analyze the problem of their physical workload, nosocomial infections and the risk of sharps injuries. Another objective is to describe preventive mechanisms of compliance with work safety standards and how they are perceived by nurses. The main objective is to analyze the overall standpoint of nurses towards risks in a way to show their individual perception. Methods: Form of qualitative research was chosen with in-depth interviews in order to fully understand risk perception of nurses. Thanks to using the pre-prepared thoughtful open questions, a number of extensive answers could be collected that illustrate various themes of work. After processing the interviews a subsequent coding and categorization of data took place. These categories have also been used for a survey of the results in the discussion. Participants: Intentionally ten nurses of different ages, length of service, department, and finally, opinions and standpoints have been chosen. Interviewed nurses are working in one of the hospitals in Central Bohemia. Size of the study sample was determined by theoretical saturation of data. Results: The results of the research are divided into seven categories, according to the data. Nurses are aware of the risks they face. They are able to name, describe risky behavior and prevention mechanisms that prevent the onset of these risks. Nurses demonstrated basic knowledge regarding nosocomial infections, but in the barrier care there is still room for a deeper understanding of the mechanisms and approaches that can help to reduce the frequency of nosocomial infections. Nurses are also aware of the risks that arise from excessive physical workload and they tend to eliminate them through sports. Another risk that nurses realized and considered as the most threatening, is the risk of sharp objects injuries. Although aware of this fact, the research shows that nurses do not comply with the preventive measures, despite they know them. Nurses have a rather negative attitude towards training regarding health and safety at work. This is due to poor quality in processing of such trainings. They have a positive attitude towards education, but they realize that trainings for general nurses which might be interesting are not for free and they take place usually during their free time. Conclusions and recommendations for practice: This work highlights the weak points in this topic and tries to look into the attitudes, feelings and concerns of nurses, which are related to the riskiness of such profession. Nurses should be aware of their importance to society and should take responsibility not only for performed procedures, but also for their own safety. Among the recommendations, which could minimize the risks associated with the performance of nursing profession, is the implementation of rigorous training of health and safety at work and quality of training provided by healthcare facilities.

Support of customer relationship by introducing a new electronic service
Kodýdková, Dana ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Nohava, Jan (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to create a methodology for the design of electronic services (e-services) and its verification through the design of a new electronic service which is improving the relations of a ski school with its customers. This aim is achieved by fulfilling a number of sub-goals. First, the theoretical foundations of services and e-services are presented with the aid of academic papers, publications and articles. Furthermore, using literary resources, the system of services which is tailored to fit the e-service environment is also described. Subsequently, the appropriate steps for the e-service design are chosen. These steps together form the above-mentioned methodology by which the new electronic service for ski school customers is designed. The text of the thesis is divided into four parts which head towards the design of a portal for the ski school customers. The first part introduces the theoretical definitions. The service sector and the definition of e-service are presented in this part. The second part describes the four major elements that form the e-service system. The areas that are crucial to the design are identified analysing each component of the e-service system. The knowledge gained in the second section is used to determine the activities which constitute the methodology proposed in the third part. The methodology is verified in the fourth section, where the web portal for ski school customers is designed

This thesis focuses on soldering technology in microelectronics. It describes in detail the basic ways of soldering and repairs in electronics. This piece of work shows the principles of technological equipment for bulk soldering and used repairing devices. In the theoretical part of this work there are also briefly described the packages for integrated circuits that were used in the practical part of the thesis. The practical part of the thesis deals with setting of the heat profiles for hot air repair station Fritsch Mikroplacer for LQFP64, SOIC16, TSSOP14, QFN16 and DSBGA5 packages. The heat profiles for assembly and disassembly of the particular types of the packages on designed and manufactured test printed circuit board were set and tested. The resulting heat profiles are compared with the recommended heat profile of an ordinary solder paste SnAg3Cu0,5 which was used for the test. This thesis can serve as an aid for the further settings of heat profiles in other types of packages not only on Fritsch Mikroplacer devices, but also on other repairing devices of this type.

Benešová, Anita ; Dlouhý, Martin (advisor) ; Zouhar, Jan (referee)
The use of personal contacts and the role of education as a signal of the Worker's productivity are two important aspects of the job search process. The aim of this thesis is to develop a model that combines both approaches. We distinguish between random and strategic models of job information networks. In the former case the structure of the network is given, while in the latter it depends on the strategic decision of the Workers. We present a strategic model of network formation with two types of Workers who are able to signal their productivity by the level of their education. When applying for a job they have two possibilities of contacting the Employer: a direct application and an indirect application through a friend who currently works for the Employer.
